I see provider websites where an entire page is dedicated to items they wish to receive if a client is inclined to purchase a "gift" for her (beyond her fee)  Some of these items, or requests for gift cards at expensive retailers seem quite extravagant and, IMHO, pretty presumptuous!  I'm curious as to how many "gifts" the ladies actually receive?  Be honest!  I've given flowers, candy, candles for no reason and gift cards, or extra cash during the holidays but purchasing expensive jewelery, weekends away at spas etc is a bit much.

Haha peanuts, A regular went to Hawaii and brought me back a huge bag of Macadamia nuts and I LOVED it. And in the past my regulars that know me well knew not to bother bringing me flowers or candy, but instead Diet Cherry Coke!! HaHa

There are clients that WANT to give us extravagant gifts. These might be regulars or first timers that want to do it. For those in the BDSM world there is something called financial Domination. Men just want to give their money over to a strong and sexy woman. They do it willingly.

I have been gifted Louis Vuitton handbags, Tiffany jewelry, Laptops, and trips to beautiful locations. One client I met was really into the Financial Domination and his fantasy was to take a girl shopping for the day. We went to a nice mall and spent a few hours there. He did want to buy me lingere and shoes, and he wanted me to model them for him. I also picked out nighties and panties for HIM to wear. We met at his place and I emptied out his underwear drawer and took all of his boxers with me. I replaced them all with frilly, girly underwear from Victorias Secret. His other fetish was to be treated like a young girl and humiliated in public. Anyway at the end of the day he had spent a few thousand.

All the time I get asked for a wish list, or gifting ideas. I am not a gold digger. I am a provoder and I advertise my rates and then it stops there. I DO NOT expect anyone to get me a gift or to spend wads of money on me. If I do get a gift card or a gift from a client it is very much appreciated. If someone has bought me an extravagant gift it is because THEY want to, because it makes them happy.

do some folks feel the need to say, "I wouldn't do it, so nobody should".

I've never seen a lady say "I expect a fancy, expensive gift!"  If it isn't for you, don't go there.  If another guy wants to give a lady a nice gift, that's between him and her.  Not you.

Buying  Expensive jewelry for providers is  easy for some guys .

I usually carry a few  hundred at all times , some guys carry ten grand , with
a hundred grand in their trunk .

My favorite provider gave me Jordan Almonds for my birthday .
I would have been just as  happy with chocolate covered peanuts.

It's the thought that counts , not the size of the diamond , unless she's hoping to  marry  you .

I know someone  who gave a stripper  a  brand new sports car including the title .
It made him feel good and her too .
She dumped him before the car was broken in .

I bought her a drink one night and let her sleep in my bed . She let me drive her new car .

 Gifts are great .

Im seeing a lady the end of the week. On her gift page was her favorite candy, Raisinets.  It's amazing how a small inexpensive gift selected from the gift page can go along way in having a great time on a date. Just the fact you actually read the ladies web site and went out of your way to pick up something makes you stand out from all the schlubs that hobby.

And to the OP, you realize that gift cards to stores even Neimans, Saks and Nordstrom can be purchased in small amounts.  Nothing like a gift card from Vic Secret to get a providers attention.

I don't have a wish list on my website, but I do have it posted on my twitter. I currently have 15 items on my amazon wish list which range from 8.99$ to 375.06$. I made this list maybe a year and a half ago, and I've received 36+ items from it.

I think everyone enjoys receiving gifts, especially if it's something you've already picked out and you definitely want. Sending a gift, whether is be cheap/expensive, just makes you stand out a little more than the regular client and a lot of times you might get something extra for being so kind & generous.

i will be honest, i have given a gift, plus i have given a tip above and beyond the requested rate, and both times i didn't get any extra special service.

so i'm with bond on this one...if i like a lady, i'll see her again, and that's gift enough.

(but i always bring chocolates and sparkling cider to my dates)

My wishlist is available because I don't want people to bring me stuff I don't want.  I'm not a perfume or candy kinda girl, nor do I want cut flowers that are going to die or expensive shoes or jewelry.  My taste is very unusual and I would hate for someone to spend their hard earned cash on something I don't want.  In the same way a provider who collects shoes might tell you her favorite brand so she doesn't end up with shoes she is never going to wear.
I really haven't been a provider long at all, but recently a regular brought me something from my wishlist on the same day he told me I was his ATF.
If you wanted to bring me something to show your appreciation of our time together, wouldn't you rather know that I prefer organic fruit and potted orchids over wine and chocolate?  And semi-precious crystals and stones with no fixture over a diamond necklace?  To know that my appreciation is genuine and not that christmas morning smile to not hurt your feelings?
The truth is, and it's stated on my website, that I prefer cash tips because then I can use it to buy what I really need...I don't have a soft spot for luxurious items or a collection of anything, I'm really a minamalist always looking to reduce my belongings not add to them...but I think some gentleman enjoy being able to express their happiness in your services with something that says, "hey look, I was thinking of you somewhere other than at the bank" ;)

Just because you type "imho" doesn't mean that's the way your post comes across.

I see the IMHO. I also see your statements that asking for gifts is presumptuous, and that giving expensive gifts is "a bit much".

Are you really and truly asking a question, trying to understand why men like to give expensive gifts, or are you making the statement that giving expensive gifts is foolish and wrong? Because, regardless of your intention, I read your post as the latter. Forgive me if I misunderstand you.

I travel internationally in latin America for about 11 months a year. I am usually in some little one donkey town in south bumble phuck.
I was in who knows where Mexico, deep in the mountains . We are driving on a dirt road and came upon a fence and gate. We stop and a little girl (Probably 10 years old , dirty, and no shoes) approached the drivers window and my buddy gave her 10 pesos I think - about a dollar. She then opens the gate. This is just a convience thing so you dont have to get out and open the gate yourself. She make a few pesos for her family and it's cute :)
Well I get out to strectch my legs and she sits back down on a dusty stump and is making leather braclets, necklaces and such. I mean some really intricate cool stuff !!
I break out the camera and take all kind of photos of her, the jewlery ,and me and her together.
I puchase about 5 different items from her for around $20 USD. Thats a weeks wage for her family and NOTHING to me.
The smile on her face was priceless and of course I photographer her and that smile :)

Yep, the photos and jewlery were a HUGE hit to the special lady I saw when I returned home.

It was a measley $20 , made the little girl happy , family had food, and the provider to this day mentions it regularly and even occasionally sends me nude photos with just the simple leather jewlery on :)

I do this all the time and mainly just because I like to give !

OH YEAH I forgot the end of that story .........So after a long , HOT, dusty day we head back down the mountain. Yep, there was the little girl again, probably 10 hours later ! This time she grabs me out of the truck and leads me by the hand to this little "shack" - her home. The guys follow of course and there is mom and dad shaking my hand and opening a cold Corona. In come the guys and beers all around, in a dirt floor , smokey shack, drinking beer.
Its dinner time and we are starving , knowing its another hour into a village where we can eat. I paid another $20 for the lady to cook us an UNBELIEVABLE meal - God was it good !
Dad just talking, laughing, and handing out COLD Coronas when needed.

Good times, and a simple gift for a lady who provides a hell of a service that I sincerly appriciate !

I didn't say, or at least I did not mean that giving gifts in general was a bit much.  Hey, if one can afford it, why not!  I'm a pretty generous guy myself because I like to be and I like to make a lady happy.  I'm saying that in some ways it seems forward to post a wish list and after reading posts I see that many of the ladies are asked about gifts by their clients and are addressing that issue on their websites...ok I get it now!
I certainly did not mean to offend anyone but I can't see buying a lady a trip to Paris, a car, or a $30k bag- but then again I say that because I can't afford to! lol I obviously worded things incorrectly and have offended people which was not my intention.  My apologies.

I don't expect anything, but I was so surprised when I got Alaskan king crab from Alaska, gift certificates to restaurants and some beautiful jewelry.  It makes me feel special and what girl doesn't like that?  Sometimes a wish list can give you insight into the personality of a provider too.

This was also something I wondered about.  Do the men give the gifts expecting special treatment and do the ladies assume this is the case.  I would think that maybe a lady might feel a little pressure to be extra accommodating when a client indulges her in pricey gifts?  Does the client feel resentful if she does not show her gratitude?

I don't have a wish list, but I do often receive gifts ranging from well schemed surprises to impromptu "let me get this for you" when something happens to catch my eye when we're tromping about a city or festival for the day. I won't always say yes to these offers, as some are more expensive than I am comfortable accepting, but it's very clear that for these men, sharing additional mementos really adds something special to our time together. I think perhaps they're just relishing the opportunity to flex their provider instincts (ie-caretaker/protector instincts, not hussy instincts! :-P.

The first time I saw her, I brought a small bag of plain beef jerky.  It was not for her, it was for her pooch.  It lit up her face that someone would treat her companion with a gift is beyond words; the small gesture to show kindness towards the dog went a long way during subsequent visits.

Now if I called the ladies narcissistic I'd get shit on here!  I called making a wish list a bit presumptuous and I got a couple of snappy responses.  I DO think it's a bit forward and greedy to post things like this as you rate should be enough ;)  But as I said, I've brought gift to only a special few maybe they were special to me because they WERE NOT greedy and needy.

is the lack of body language or tone.

Trust me, the tone of my post was flat and unemotional.  It was not cranky--on those occasions when I am posting a cranky note it is very, very obvious.

The way I read your post was you thought is was unreasonable for a guy to bring a fancy gift.  Since I have on occasion done so--typically to ladies with whom I've had an extended history that no one outside the two of us is likely to know--I was pointing out that this is a complex corner of the world and people's reasons are often complex.

If I misunderstood your tone, I apologize for not being clear.
