As Sergeant Phil Esterhaus of Hill Street Blues would say: "Hey, let's be careful out there."

...for antibiotics no longer working...Soccer moms put the fear of God into kiddies about getting dirty, when the dirt and playing outside, building an actual well rounded IMMUNE SYSTEM was what was keeping em healthy generations ago..../rant off

Decades ago, in the days where SWs were the norm, STDs were rampant, almost the norm, as no one used protection... same from the guys who went overseas & had a lot of unprotected sex w/the gals over there ( and of course most will claim they never caught a thing). Then came the time period where all the slogans were "Wrap it Up' * safer sex was being practiced.. now, w/BBBJs being the norm in the hobby, & many reports of BBFS, what did people think would happen?

People have this ideology of, "It won't happen to me", or, "If it does, it's for the most part treatable"... with this new strain that isn't treatable, & with gonorrhea being able to be transmitter through BBBJ alone, I wonder if this will sway anyone's feelings on taking part in this activity? Just think... a provider sees a guy who unknowingly has gonorrhea.. performs BBBJ w/CIM... gonorrhea is now transmitted to her throat, where it will live & thrive until treated... meanwhile, she continues to perform BBBJ w/all her other clients, unknowingly transmitting it to each & every guy.. now they all have it... & heaven forbid, either one has a SO at home that they don't use protection with, as now the providers SO has it, who will pass it to her down there... well.. you get my point.

Most ladies get treated anywhere from every 30-90 days.. that's a lot of people that could get infected before either party(ies) finds out they have it... & if it's the strain that they currently don't have medication for...

STDs are becoming immune to medications, not because we choose to wash our hands so much, or use antibacterial soap, but because people aren't taking their personal well-being into account anymore. I would NEVER meet someone at a bar/club/etc, go home w/them & do ANYTHING w/out protection... same in a relationship, until we've both been tested. This is one part of the "hobby" that I will never quite understand... but to each his/her own.

I am switching to CBJ...my life is more important than a little more pleasure.

Sweetheart, your amateurish attempt at epidemiology is commendable (I'm being sarcastic), but it's really a bunch of self-serving tripe, isn't it?  You do CBJs and you want a big pat on the back for it, followed by a promise that we'll all patronize you because you had the foresight to suck on rubber.  Well I'm going to keep my patting hand and money in my pocket, if you don't mind...You just took a bunch of loosely connected facts (some imaginary, some real) and strung them together to draw a straight line between the discovery of antibiotic resistant gonorrhea and "BBBJs being the norm in the hobby." Well it doesn't quite work like that.  The risk of catching an STD via oral sex is significantly lower -- which kind of puts huge kink on your hypothesis.

Sure a lady *could* infect her partner via oral sex. That's a given.  I *could* also get wobbly legs after an appointment and fall down a flight of stairs while trying to leave the incall.  You *could* suck the lubrication off a condom and increase the risk of it breaking during sex, resulting in unsanctioned BBFS....

The fact is, there's a lot of shit that COULD happen as a result of human beings fucking.  We do what we can to mitigate the risks, but some measures are borne out of sheer ignorance and overreaction; like tire tasting, for instance.  You should do whatever makes you feel comfortable, but I'm going to get bare fellatio until I croak.  I'd be better off jerking off into a sock than listening to people with such a shallow understanding of these matters.

You are kidding yourself bud.  If BBBJs are part of your routine with providers, it's just a matter of when your next infection sets in.  If you're lucky, you may even have symptoms.  Let's hope.

Well said, we all know the risks and there is no sense and playing the blame game afterward we made our own decision.

Self serving... no. This is a discussion board, where people express their opinions.. that is my opinion, yours is different.. hence, the "to each their own" statement... everyone will do what they want to do, regardless of what another says. And I wasn't drawing a conclusion between the two, just a hypothesis, if you will.. as you stated, anything is possible.

Now, there are MANY ladies who offer this, & have never had a problem, & I don't have a problem w/what another person decides to do with their body.. it's THEIR choice. I was more so referencing the gals who do this & don't get regularly tested... and the average guy, who hasn't seen a doctor since his high school physical, as the "average" guys mentality is, "If I feel fine, I must be fine". Many men who hobby, also have civvie sex... some unprotected & the "average" civvie gal is just like the "average" civvie male... they don't get tested anywhere near as much as good providers do. And I say good providers, as there are also the batch that haven't been the doctor's in God knows when, & in addition to providing, also have a very personal active sex life. Bottom line, you never know what the next person is doing when you're not with them, & the only person you can really trust is yourself.

Example for you.. I use to run a service years ago... a lot of the girls were civvie girls who wanted to dabble in the escort industry... I always required each & every lady to get tested first (I'm not doing a 2-girl show w/someone that I don't know if their clean or not). On an 80%, every civvie girl that came through, had SOME sort of STD, with gonorrhea & chlamydia being the most common, & not ONE had a clue that she had it... one lady had EVERY STD, except HIV(gonorrhea, chlamydia, herpes, trich, & HPV) & she was MARRIED!

Now again, most men see ladies who take pride in their physical well being an health, & will never have a problem. I don't care what the next person does with their body, it's their choice.

I loved how you said most ladies don't get treated  for 30- 90 days . Heck men some times don't get treated at all.  You might want to check your stats on heath Dept's, working escorts have less std's than the general public in the USA + Canada.  If your dump enough not to cover up, why blame the girl afterwards.
Until we stop playing the blame game and the shame game over sex, people are not going to get treatment, not that everything can be treated.
Is it not common sense that if your in a relationship or married that you don't get a bbbj from a escort and then go home and screw your wife.  I would be more worried about the shanks that run around and give it away, trying to catch them a man.

of BBBJ?

I agree with Zorff above - not in his tone of voice, but in the point he is trying to (admittedly somewhat rudely) make.

And I have extensive (brutally painful and expensive) experience with antibiotic resistant infections.  But my MRSA infection was a fluke - it was "community associated" - my immune system was not previously compromised, I had not been in the hospital, there was NO risky behavior associated with it.  Indeed, I most like got it trying to improve my health - at the gym; I was working with a personal trainer at a public gym the day before the "boil" appeared.

But what caused my MRSA was not working out at the gym.  No, what caused my MRSA is a mindset that our living environments are supposed to be sterile.  What a crock.  Humans have immune systems for a reason, and they are the best defense against disease.

successfully battle the MRSA infection.

And I completely understand your aversion to the taste of condoms (not that I've ever tasted one myself) LOL.

Not at the gym, but just from scratching at a scab on my elbow and introducing some of the normal "flora" found on the skin.  Got sick as hell, needed a PIC line full of Vancomycin to kill the little buggers.

If this strain becomes a reality and it hits the provider community in the States, of course it's the end. This board, and the media would be filled with panicked stories of gonorrhea that can't be cured.   People on this board will flame away at reports of BBBJ just as they do today at BBFS.  Why wouldn't they?  Who wants to spend the rest of their living days feeling like their nuts are roasting at 120 degrees, wistfully missing the experience of pissing without a maddening itch?  It won't take long for CBJ to be the new normal.

along the same line as yours.

I sincerely hope a less drastic cure is found for this new strain. if not, the consequences could be particularly devastating.

I'm kind of a newb, but this thread brings up a topic I've been wondering about:  Is a BBBJ less risky than BBFS?   I've been told you shouldn't do BBBJ, but of course when it's offered it's hard to turn down.  What's your take on BBBJ?

Oral sex is still sex.  If you do it uncovered, you are exposing yourself to all the the diseases of genital sex, minus Hepatitis, Crabs, Warts, and Trich.  Your HIV risk is theoretical.  Everything else is pretty much on the table.   My doctor says that as a result of the information on providers available on the web, the number of cases of STD obtained from BBBJ has EXPLODED.  He says it is truly off the charts.  Lots of dudes are walking around with Gonorrhea and Chlamydia and they don't even know it.  Then it lands in the throat of your provider, waiting for your next visit.  The parabolic increase of people treating their STDs with antibiotics further spins the roulette wheel of rapidly mutating bateria dialing up the lucky mutation that resists antibiotics.  Permanent gonorrhea will be born.  It is a mathematical certainty.

Having sex?  Wear a condom.

less risky than BBFS, but it's all relative.

It depends on the disease vectors in question, structural integrity of the mouth, penis, vagina, etc.

Even deep fr kissing can transmit certain disease vectors if the conditions are just right.

Make no mistake, this hobby is not without it's risks.

Don't worry men like BBBJ's way too much and I bet there are many mad scientists in the lab as we speak working on it.  As far as what I read, they have to use more than 1 antibiotic on this strain.  That haven't even checked to see if the people with this new strain have problems with their immune systems. What did they expect when they haven't bothered to keep creating new antibiotics nor a vaccine for std's.
Seems like guys who engage in bbbj's would have themselves checked regularly too, I don't understand why that guy was trying to imply that only the women are responsible for the act afterward.

I think you need to get the news from the source...  Quotes from the CDC and supporting link below:

"In the July 8, 2011 issue of CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, researchers analyzed gonorrhea surveillance data and concluded that, although there have been no documented treatment failures yet, untreatable gonorrhea may become a reality in the U.S..."

"Currently, treatment of gonorrhea with cephalosporins does remain effective, and no cases of treatment failures have been seen in the U.S."

In the Reuters Article... cases have been in Asia, Australia and Norway. If I could put money on it, some of those freaks brought the shit back with them after trolling for the girls that do 20 guys a night for $20 bucks each. So stay away from the cheap thrills that Asia is known for and don't bring that shit back to the U.S. ;) Spent a year in the Medical Field in Asia and some of the shit that goes on there is really no different then what happens at your favorite Crack Whore's motel. I Can't tell you how many shots I gave to idiots having sex without condoms with chicks still dripping from the guys they saw 30 minutes earlier.

The Answer was always the same to the Sex without a condom question -- Yes. However... I can't think of any that got it from JUST a BBBJ. The provider doing the deed would have to have Gonorrhea of the Throat and that's not too easy to transmit. Besides that... if you do get Gonorrhea of the Throat, a provider is more often then not going to have a very, very sore throat during the transmittal period and is not going to be wanting to give any kind of BJ in the first place.

Reported cases of Gonorrhea in the U.S. are at their lowest levels in decades. I think this has more to do with knowing the signs (hint, hint) ---- and it not being such a stigma getting treated. (Hint, Hint...) Not like it used to be when it was the main joke in every party flick in the 80's where some dude would go take a hot piss a couple of days after banging a goat and not knowing what it was.

As for the guys that were idiots having unprotected sex with anything that could breath... at least I did Respect them for getting treated as soon as the symptoms popped up.

Anyways.... go to the sources and not a blog just doing anything to get readers to sell advertising space. It's kind of like going to the back alley hacks in Asia that treat the shit with black market products that end up making the shit more resilient. If you don't treat any Bacterial infection properly to begin with and the right doses are not taken all the way through to the end.... any bacterial strain can come back and come back stronger.

That's why it seems the complicated shit is always coming out of Asia to begin with.
