I'm sure everyone's experience is different, but my experience is most providers do not like getting under the covers. If at a hotel, they often have the session lying atop the bed cover (which I personally think is kind of icky; I'm not sure often hotels wash those bed covers). If not at a hotel, they usually have the session atop a mattress (with a sheet, of course), but still nothing atop.
Is there a reason why? Personally I like getting under the covers during the snuggly parts of the session (and even during some of the sex). Is is just more work b/c your messing everything up on the bed? Another explanation?
Saw a documentary once where they used an x-ray type camera to show all the dirt, grime, stains, etc. on the bed spread. I always pull the bed spread down when it is my hotel room. I really don't want to "catch anything" from the previous guest in that room.
I have been managing hotels for almost twenty years. We always washed the bedspreads as often as people do at home or sometimes more frequently. When one of the networks does a special (yellow journalism) of this type, they ALWAYS choose the worse case or situation and only show THAT case. In order to show the worse cases they probably visited twenty hotels and picked the worst five or six. I also have a suggestion, after washing your own bedspread scan it with a black light. I guarantee you will discover it still has dirt, grime and stains.

I prefer not to get under the covers for the simple fact that things can get rather.....well....warm at times. (Sex is the best aerobics after all). Not to mention that the darned covers get in the way most of the time.
But I do get your point about enjoying being wrapped up the sheets when its time to cuddle. So I offer a compromise - first, we can cavort to our heart's conent on top of the sheets, then crawl under to snuggle for a while. Fair enough?
