It is not a sensitivity issue, it is a matter of remarks being disparaging towards ladies who some feel are not attractive.  Sometimes the better part of valor is to not comment at all.

I do not mind opinions at all so long as they are done respectfully.

Some need to remember the theory of "in the eye of the beholder".  Needless crass remarks like this really are uncalled for.  

It gets really old hearing these kind of remarks.

You know, instead of telling the guy to "lighten up" you should've admitted your mistake and apologized!!!  Whether you realize it or not, YOU DID DIRECT YOUR POST TO HIM and NOT to "all who dissed the girl in photo"!!!  Your ignorance can no longer be excused, now that you've shown your lack of class!!

no I did not direct it at him and it was generally speaking! I do realize where I am directing a remark I am making.
maybe if everyone was as perfect as you think you are, then we would have hundreds of apologies on this board and every other board for all kinds of replies.
like I said lighten up, which is enuf saif for me and evidently oldie but goodie knew what I meant since he is not the one angered over a general post!

Now, let me ask you: Did you not direct your initial post on this thread to Oldmember?  Yes, you did, whether it was your intent or not.

And, did he not ask you to direct it in the proper place and not at him?  Yes, he did.  So, I don't know where you get off in thinking that he was not bothered by it.  True, he has not jumped back into the fray.  But then again, why should he since I jumped in?  But, I only jumped in when you told him to "lighten up" and INCORRECTLY asserted yourself instead of apologizing!

I don't consider myself perfect, and I try to apologize when I misstep.  You've gotten more and more defensive.

... sure, I know you're probably still reading it anyway.  Hopefully by now you've caught a clue about how these threads work?  About how this post is attached to OFF's original post that started this thread.  

OFF, glad to see you back on the boards.  Keep them coming.  Sorry that I had to jump in and mix things up a bit.  But, I do think your thread had started to wind down.  And I only jumped in b/c someone wanted to go unchallenged on their assertations.  Didn't feel it was right to sit back and do nothing.  Who knows, maybe we can all learn something?

No sense of ownership here. I have learned that once you start a thread, they have a life of there own like a free spirit and can go in any direction.

I simply start them ... then sit back watch and enjoy.
