Why? Because this is a public board and you don't get to pick and choose who replies to your posts. If you want a ladies only response, ask on the PO board.

To answer your question, some are offended and some don't give a shit, and many use that phrase themselves. Why do people ask opinion questions expecting to get a single blanket response?

Personally, I think it's rather crass...

...and I tend to cringe when I hear the term. I wouldn't start using it just because a few of us say it's okay, though. And similarly I wouldn't continue not using the term if a few of us say we are offended. If you're not comfortable saying it, then don't. Simple as that. I think this is a use your best judgement situation and really depends on who you're speaking with.

I prefer "surfing the crimson wave" myself....

Are rarely very pleasing. Think of the terms a vulva is called...snatch, bearded clam, gash, axe wound, fish taco ad infinitum. None of those sound at all appealing for something you men fight and beg and pay to get near, yet I am pretty darn sure it was the guys who coined those terms.

I am not fond of that term BUT, on here, if you mention what you are not fond of too loudly, well you know what happens. So the other option is to realize where you are and play accordingly. It saves so much bullshit in the grand scheme of things or at least it has for me.
