I just got through reading the thread below about dudes spotting providers or "maybe" providers. That brought to mind a particular guy at the gym. I am almost positive he P4P. He has that "look" if you will.

Was out the other night with my girlfriends...who do not know what I do on the side BTW, and I am sure I spotted a few in the crowd.

How about the ladies...do you "see" potential clients in your everyday life?

I know I ooze horn dog from every pore, except at the gym, then I'm in my own little world.

Agreed, that it could be said that guys are walking hard-ons, but not all would P4P. Some find that avenue distasteful...don't know why..

I'm off to the gym in a few and am going to check things out...that thread below got me thinking.

I am not sure how I would react if propositioned in public (I don't show my face so I would be very hard to identify as a for sure deal)...Oh I know deny, deny, deny. Screening is a must these days.

True story.

I have 5 regulars that actually approached ME on the trains...when I am not looking my best, I might add! (barely any makeup, some jeans and a black tshirt. my standard "i dont care what you are looking at" style.)

I also met this one guy at a bar...and I just have a "vibe" that he is in the hobby world.

They have a certain air about them, for lack of a better description. It is like, they have a secret...and you know they have a secret just by looking at them but you are not sure what it is exactly....it is like, they are smug. Then, they give you a look like...they have seen you before. Drives me insane. lol

the thing is, they can see our pics and know who we are (especially if you are like me and show face)...

but we dont know who they are. talk about the ultimate cat and mouse game!! lol.

Then there are the guys i see who I fervently wish were in the hobby world. (ahem, paging former president clinton...Khym is still waiting for you...naked except for the black heels and pretty smile!)

The only difference is the form of payment changes.  Envelope, Bebe, Gucci, Lamborghini, Miami condo, they're all ways of paying for the same thing.

It turns out that this way is cheaper.

Khym_D_NYC the T-shirt jeans, little or no makeup girl next door look is the biggest the second hottest look next to nude out there for me. I doubt I am the only on out there. I also love the gym look. I wish more providers would show up in those looks but most have too much makeup and over or under dress them self. Or even worse look like street walkers. If I seen you dressed in jeans and a T-shirt and knew what you do I would try to make it happen, but that will not happen because of where live: -(

I was just wondering what are the characteristics of a man that might fall into the P4P category? Would he have a side with him that might be some what curious and adventurous in some what of a subliminal way? Would you also say there has been some non verbal communication with him while you are doing certain excercises?  Would they give a look as if they are open for certain possibilities? Or is it something that you can't put you finger on at the moment?

For most of my adult life I would have turned down a provider cold. In fact, I broke up with a girlfriend after learning what her real job was.

I wasn't quite as ... open-minded ... about it then as I am now.

In such circumstances, I'm as close to non-seduceable as a woman will ever encounter.

I don't pay much attention to guys outside of work lol unless it's the guy I'm sorta-dating. THOUGH I do wonder when I see some guys like I wonder if he sees providers and what's his type, has he seen me online before etc

I take it that you have a certain radar and profile when it comes to the business. It must be an inherent trait of the position.

She was behind me in line when I was buying some office supplies. I haven't met her before, but I recognized her from her pictures. I didn't give her that knowing look, but now you've got me wondering if she could spot me as a potential client..

I was on a long weekend with a provider who started telling me who she thought was a John by looking around. Some she said because they just had a look that said they had to pay. Some because they looked to confident but not that good looking. I do not recall all others, me too confident and not good looking.

I guess i do have a certain "profiling" ability..

I still don't really know how to 'spot' a potential client because essentially, all men in a sense might be a potential 'pay to play' date. I can't say there's one way to tell how one man might be a client and another one may not.


Some men are more DIRECT if you will LOL about coming onto a woman or staring or commenting, but that means nothing. I mean if I walked around with a sign that said " Price Per Hour" I wonder just how many men would actually be nodding their heads and making an appointment right there. LOL



Escorts, well, sometimes when I go into a hotel I can sort of sense a girl is there for business, but that may be because I'M there for business as well. And some escorts are not very discreet about how they dress when they walk into a hotel either. A seasoned pro knows not to stand out in that sense.

to be right when spotting a potential client out and about on more than one occasion. It's this look you give that we see from clients on a daily that makes you obvious.

I only say 'they spot me' becuz I've been told on a couple of occasions that seeing me in public somewhere prompted the email to set an appointment.

But I don't feel anyone I see has a standard look.

I was leaving an appointment once from this ritzy hotel, crossing the lobby, out of the bar/restaurant area came the most beautiful young black woman I have ever seen. Tall, elegant, but very sweet face.. smiling with little dimples each cheek. She was with a liver spotted out coot who looked like Monty Burns on the simpsons cartoon. He was about 100yrs old but they were both beaming at each other.  The old fellow was practically skipping to the elevator with his arm around her.

I'm pretty sure she was working. But only becuz of the odd pairing.  It's not always the clothes giving it away.  ha ha

why do men find that look so hot?

i have been in the line at Walmart (my most hated store but you cant beat the prices) with "monthly" items in my hand, pair of torn jeans, no makeup and looking like I hate my life...

and THAT is the time men choose to speak to me. I dont get it. I am not pretty when I am mad at the world. When I give them the "shove off or die" look, they try HARDER. Why??

I read the reply by AlluringAva and she has such a valid point...about how we appear to others. One should, in my opinion, take care as to how they dress. I have seen ladies in hotels who wear the tight leopard dresses with the 6 inch heels...and then there is me in a suit and tie. (yes, i wear suits and ties. I love ties. I am looking for some pink suspenders and a vest. I need a pink vest)

That's how we see the women in are lives on a day to day lives. It's how women live not all packaged and neat. And most men want to please ladies. If you look unhappy we have a need to try to help. Not all men but many.

Not to be stereotypical but...as I was getting onto the elevator, a young black man dressed to the nines was holding the hand of a pretty white chick and telling her softly, " Be sure you call me when you get to the room baby...this is the first one so I know you're scared, it'll be okay baby..." and then he held her hand. When she got off on her assigned floor, he reminded her again to call him when she got to the room.

Would you say that you tend to dress more like a real estate broker or a white collar executive when you go to your dates in a public venue? Would you select a pants suit as opposed to a skirt and heels? What fashion selections would be more understated for you where you can be more subliminal with respect to your occupation? Also would you try to be out of uniform when reporting to these venues for work for the purpose of not being accurately identified? Finally what colors also help you blend in and would you tend to stay with darker colors for that purpose?
