I've had two providers no show no call me after a confirmed appointment. Don't feel great about posting a negative review for them but feel compelled to let fellow hobbiest know. Thoughts.....

I believe that’s what TER was created to help other members make an executive decision based on the information provided on this website. 🤷🏽‍♀️ lmk

I would not want to have my time wasted. Sharing is caring.

Did you give either a deposit and not refund? If yes, that's a scam and you should review them.

Was there any follow-up/explanation? Since things happen, if her reason was good, I would give her a second chance. No follow-up, then I would review her as well.

No legit provider would no show. I had some of these back in the days before I used TER. None since.

but you can, and should post here and on your/their local boards. Just stick with the facts.

The unprofessionalism makes my blood boil. I am sorry this happened to you. Did they give you any explanation?  Just focus on the honestly of the review. The reader can make the determining factor then if they wish to see the provider in question or not. We want clients to pre book appointments to make provider lives easier and more balanced. Providers need to also remember that clients may have to take off work/find a babysitter/etc. and it is very unfair to them if they followed all the rules and then have this happen.  If you sent them a deposit it better be returned!! Keep us posted and hopefully this does not happen to you again.

I know for 100% certain if a deposit was take you can. I have seen the reviews. They have scam alert listed above them. They always involve an email exchange, deposit, and setting up an appointment. Then, the client is ghosted. Now, I am not sure if it can be done if money wasn't taken.

And that's another reason only to see well-reviewed providers. There are much less likely to ghost someone who's passed screening.
But if they ghosted you after getting a deposit they are professionals, all right. Professional scammers.

you never saw them unless they asked for a deposit and you paid it up front before they stood you up, in which case you can file a "Rip-off Report."   You can name them on this board, but they may not care.

In my illustrious mongering career. LOL.....  I have blasted many a providers for providing sub-par service... Feel free to go thru my reviews...

Only problem is technical as TER won't allow to review provider who has not been seen.....

I think those who advocate against a review or even namedropping publicly understand that and it's precisely why they don't want to do it.

Imagine that, for whatever reason they don't want the bad actor to lose money via large audience reading this and deciding not to see such a seller. Ie actually reaping what the seller has sown.

Whereas it's exactly what's supposed to happen. You provide bad service or bad good -> customer unhappy - > customer tells others.

If there's a r0bber on the corner r0bbing ppl why shouldn't we warn others to stay clear of the fucking corner. Instead some of these people prefer to only tell their "network" and just let the r0bber r0b other innocent people.

People warn each other wherever there's a cop speed trap but warning against a bad actor who nscnc'd you, is somehow out of line. Pathetic.

Has happened a couple times over the years......at first of course it angers you.......however in retrospect.....maybe "The No Show" was a good thing.....perhaps you avoided some sort of issue---serious issue.....Never Know......Maybe you avoided a legal entanglement----or a gal with a crazy boyfriend driver....some sort of "Infection or Disease".....who knows....and....you are now up whatever $$$ you had set aside.....So go on your way and be thankful !

Unless the provider took any money from you I’m not sure TER lets you write a review on an experience you didn’t have. I think the best you can do is put a warning here or the reviewer board. I could be wrong about that but I don’t believe TER lets u write a negative review unless you’ve been scammed. Things sometime happen on either end, client or provider but certainly not providing a heads up is not cool even if it’s some type of emergency. I would think you’d get a message at some point apologizing. Sorry that happened to you.

Could you tell us why you don't feel great about posting a negative review?

Did you provide pii info to these providers? They basically wasted your time and/or money. Public info on bad actors is why people go and read sites like these.

Sincerely
Rocket

It was my first. It was a 7/7 and I mentioned she had garlic breath. It was approved and she didn't like it. She told TER the date didn't happen. They didn't ask me to prove it did (though I could not have anyway), but the review was pulled.

I've  had  a  few  NSNC  over  the  years.

Additionally,  I've  endured  "Short-Changers",  an  Hour  prior  Cancellations
for  0vernights,  and  Scary  Encounters;    all  of  whom  should've been  called-out!!

0n  this  "safe"  platform  call  these  perpetrators  by  name  if  TER  allows

If you've made a deposit it's fine and good to give a bad review. You're losing btw and would help warn others. You expected them to be professional so they should be ready to face the consequences of their actions!

I mean, they didn't tell you why and just pulled the review?

I would keep on resubmitting it until I'd get an explanation why my truthful and honest review was pulled with no warning.

If they'd reject it without explanation, I'd postthat in forums while mentioning the provider in all caps. If they won't let you publish a good review, might as well do a mini.

I would also go to all other platforms that exist and write each review mentioning how the provider pulled your review here.

Ain't no one gave seller power to simply suppress critical reviews because they don't like it. Don't let PoS who only give shit about dead presidents and not truth, silence your voice.

Agreed. Since the op said he "feel compelled to let fellow hobbiest know." I'm still hopeful he will at least name who they are. Because otherwise I don't think this post helps us (fellow hobbyists) in any way. Knowing that someone in the US did nsnc with the op unfortunately isn't enough information to take any action.
