I have an etiquette question. Is it considered rude, insensitive, or gauche to ask a provider that you see when she comes to your city to recommend a local provider in your city that she may know. This is so that you can see the local when your out of town sure winner is not visiting? Conflict of interest? I know there are ten thousand "why do you want to do that when you can easily find a solid provider by doing XYZ". But for now if someone, preferably a provider, can answer the question, I will appreciate it. Alternatively, you can also direct me to a post that may have answered the question in the past.

In my experience, out of towners rarely knew providers in the local market at all, let alone well enough to recommend them. Use local resources and reviewers like TER.

Gentlemen over the years have ask me and I always try to find a lady that I think they will like. These are guys I already know. It doesn't offend me at all. I've referred guys to ladies I've never met but I think they'd be a good match.  Ofcoarse I do refer my friends too IF I think they will have fun.  
Really depends on the lady you're asking though because some ladies feel like they own their clients once they fuck them. Some are more confident and don't mind sharing.

can be attributed to other ladies' recommendations.  Research by reading reviews give you a good idea, but a personal endorsement works great.   Ladies know me (and my likes) and often recommend their friends.  And of course, I always return to them. TL is one lady who has recommended some of her friends and I adore her for it!

When I started this 3 years ago, my first provider, after my 3rd visit, suggested that I needed some variety. I asked who. She suggested that I do my own research but she wouldn't mind if I asked her about who I was thinking about seeing. She never said a bad word about any of my choices. She's since moved to Hawaii. Miss her.

Seems a bit hypocritical for a provider to expect essentially a monogamous relationship, doesn't it?

If you know the provider well and vice versa. That way she can make an informed request gauging from your personality, or learning what assets on a woman you seem to prefer (busty or curvy, etc.) or even estimating how your chemistry with another particular would be. However it may depend on how popular, how long she has been a provider. Many of us don't have lots of provider close friends to make that informed of a recommendation. But hey, I can always point a client in the direction of a lady that has a similar asthetic as I if it's that simple.

You know what you are looking for and have resources like TER and escort websites to find it. What's the point of asking a visitor, who probably knows at best a few locals, for recs? If I were in her place I would think you were either a suckup or clueless. Do your own research, that's part of the game.

In my business, I am forever suggesting other businesses to my clients when I can't supply the exact item that they need for their clients. I'm in a wholesale business and my clients need the products to earn a living.  

 Would I like their business? Of course I do. But, I would rather have their respect and loyalty for being a partner in their welfare. I sometimes lose them as clients, but more often they come back. It is my responsibility to remind them that I'm still available for the items I can supply.  

No two people are alike. Pussy is not pussy to me. Every experience is different. Getting openly jealous of my business going elsewhere , will chase me away faster than it would keep me coming back.  
I kind of figure that if you actually care about me, you would want me to be happy. That's how I am with my business and personal relationships.

The OP makes no fucking sense at all. I would trust the reviews a thousand times more than I would some touring provider who just "might" happen to know a local girl in my town, not hers.
