No, she didn't to me either!

In fact, she was a beautiful girl! But I wonder if you can tell that by her looks! I mean what does a girl that needs a pimp look like? A lot of girls in this business broke in with a pimp. Becoming an escort was not their own idea. Once a girl has a pimp, it's not that easy to get rid of him! There is insidious psychological as well as physical pressure applied to her to keep her under his thumb! But I doubt if this girl had a pimp. For one thing, she would not likely only offer FBSM instead of full service. For another thing, how many pimps would let their girls tour another city? Still, I just wonder why she felt that she needed to protect her money with her life! Common sense should have told her that was a bad idea!

This is the first time I can remember a terrible crime being directed at providers which has provoke a serious and non judgmental response form police and FBI.  News coverage has stressed the fact that the victims were independent providers of massage and other services who, because of their services were alone and easily victimized.  I have seen none of the sneering or patronizing crap one usually hears.  Also Boston, Rhode Island, and Federal forces have been mobilized.

Could we be growing up a little and recognizing that this creep is the same as someone who might visit physicians who have late office hours to rob and kill them.

This one will be caught.  Until then, it goes without saying "Be careful".

of entrepreneurs.  One just happened to be a surgeon in LA who is/was quite well known.  We had a need to travel and on our trip we went through the metal detectors with no problems (this was a day trip, so we had no luggage).  Upon our return that night, he set off the metal detector.... seems he forgot that he was "Carrying!" lol - well not so funny for him.

Later I inquired about his "luggage"  Seems that he found it necessary to carry just because he was a physician & there are cases where druggies break into doctors offices for drugs!  He was dead serious - as he knew of several cases where that had occurred.

We really need to think about what really constitutes a crime as I think we spend far too much time and effort worried about issues which are not even worth the effort.

My hope, they catch this guy, and folks across the nation realize that providing is NOT a crime.... there is much more serious stuff to focus on.  All you have to do is look at the kidnappings on our southern border... the random violent acts of folks... and the murder rates in our inner cities.

crimes... you want crimes.... there they are.

whos family must be devastated over this whole situation and the loss of such a beautiful daughter, sister or niece. I feel for them as they must bear not only the loss of her but the shame others may try to bring to her.

I do think more coverage will go towards finding this killer since he did it in an upscale location and not on the street. He has mocked the hotel security and law enforcement. This man is very dangerous and may move to some other area to continue what he is doing.

Yes, this man may very well go down as one of the most formidable serial killers of this time if they don't catch him. It is a strong possibility that he has an eye on his next victim already.

There was a time when cops would have devoted 2 man hours to these cases and filed them away as unsolved. Let's hope that the ultimate judge and jurors don't value her life any less than they would anyone else's. I know, I'm naive.

will probably use this tragedy to pressure the police into cracking down on all forms of prostitution including the Internet.

For the new hobbyists, and some not so new, I understand the frustrations of what may seem as over exhubriant screening and reference requests. For those that post these complaints...this is why!

They will catch this SOB and I hope there is a special place in Hell reserved for him.

I have to entertain a friend and I was considering staying a few days longer. But I can't. The hotels in Copley Square...were my usual incalls.
Just seeing the videos, and having stood in those same spots. I might have even stayed in the same room.
It is unsettling. I have always tried to stay in hotels that are less traveled by providers. That is important to me.

Ladies when you travel, try to be inconspicuous.
Think about how you present yourself. I've always tried to just blend in with the rest of the guests.

Be safe everyone

I've been following this story as closely as I could ever since I first heard about it. I have agreed with almost all the comments about it that I've seen on this board and others. ESPECIALLY the ones about the importance of screening! I have actually had some girls ask my opinion about whether they should make an appointment with someone under questionable circumstances. My advice has always been that if something seems the least bit fishy, or even if the girl just has a bad feeling in her gut, she should NOT make the appointment! No amount of money is worth your life, I say! And if there is the least doubt about your safety, it probably won't be a great date anyway.

But I have another thought about this that I haven't seen anyone else mention. This guy has robbed at least two other girls, using a similar M.O. They are still alive to talk about it. The consensus of opinion to this point seems to be that the masseuse from NYC tried to resist the robbery vigorously and that was the reason she was shot! I can understand that, if she was nearing the end of her tour, and she hadn't had a chance to deposit her cash yet, that the proceeds of her entire trip were at stake, and she would have had to go back to New York with nothing to show for her whole trip except a big negative for her expenses! But even THAT amount of money was not worth her life! So my advice is that, even if you screen as well as you can, and someone slips through and tries to rob you, which COULD happen even under the tightest of screening, you should just let him take your money and leave! Trying to fight for your hard earned money is a losing proposition and should not be attempted, in my opinion. You can always make some more money, and in the large scheme of things, even a few thousand dollars is a slight blip in the history of your life, but death at the hands of an asshole like this is quite permanent, as well as terribly tragic!

I wonder if she had a pimp in New York that she feared even more than the asshole in Boston!

In fact her friends stated that they had no idea she even did massage.
I totally agree with you about just handing the money over. You are worth more than any $$$ in the world.

This thief knew exactly what he was doing.

He came up with a pretty good scam.
BUT....I am confident that he will be apprehended.

If she had a pimp he would have been in the next room keeping track of every guy that she saw. Pimps don't send their girls 300 miles away to work, they drive them there.

My final comment about a pimp was an afterthought to try to explain to myself why she felt compelled to fight for her money! I really don't think she had a pimp!

However, I don't agree with your argument completely. Most pimps have more than one girl in their "stable". It would be impossible for them to keep track of all their "clients" so they don't try. They send their girls out with a quota and wait for them to bring it back to them!

I do doubt if very many pimps would send their girls to another city to work though!
