Well, I'm single now so I have nothing to reconcile.  When I was married I simply relied on the fact that I practiced safe sex with providers and crossed my fingers.  Frankly, that's all there is to it! Guys who decide to hobby have already accepted the fact that there is some risk involved on a number of levels.

Since I made the decision to see multiple partners years ago, always use a condom period. No if ands or butts about it.

Like the song says "She can fool around just like you".

If she tries or asks for unprotected I remind her that she can get pregnant.

Nothing to reconcile, but I would imagine that, after years of unprotected sex, it would be hard to try justifying why protected sex would be necessary now.

but I would think that having a sex life at home would make a person be very careful while hobbying.

Of course if a person can justify hobbying at all while having a SO that he is still having sex with, I believe that such person could rationalize virtually anything. I am not judging, just pointing out facts.

intercourse with anyone outside of my Husband is always covered. and within the hobby, no exchange/ingestion of fluids ever.

That one worked for me until my ex got her tubes tied about 18 years ago...

I will to deal with having unprotected with the wife when she reaches menopause. Hopefully it won't happen until she is 65 or older. Maybe I won't have a problem since she thinks cum is nasty.

....am single, currently only am seeing my ATF and get tested on a regular basis.  I know she takes very good care of herself as do I. Knock on wood, no problems.  I think a few peopl have mentioned, things are probably safer here than in the civie world.

I have been remarried for 20 years, we have had good times and bad.  They are good now, but do not include any sex for years. (I hope she is having an affair, but I somehow doubt it.) I do have a girl friend and some friends with benefits.  I do not have unprotected sex with anyone but my girl friend.  I have been monogamous with her for almost a year (How long can this go on, slut that I am.) When not monogamous, I get myself tested every 4 to 6 weeks.

But all men need variety, even if they are getting it at home.

It's just that most men don't get it at home, OR the SO does not 'do' things you men secretly like to have done to you. (Or she does not know about it, and most are too afraid to tell her, for fear of judgment.)

I still have great sex with my wife. We've been together 13 years and she still has a smokin' body. I call her my little supermodel. I just can't get enough of her... which is the problem! When you're with someone this long, "protection" means The Pill.

We have different sexual appetites though. She's good for maybe 3 times a month, I need 3 times a week... or more. I'm never going to 'cheat' on my wife which in my mind means becoming emotionally involved with another woman. Falling in love with another woman. That ain't going to happen with the hobby thing.

I just started hobbying recently and have decided (or justified it) as healthy to our marriage and relationship. What I'm doing now is a pure physical release and recreational. Thus far it hasn't impacted my ability to love my wife, make love to my wife, or still treat her like a goddess and buy her everything her heart desires.

To the question... I won't stick my Johnson somewhere outside of home field without a cover anymore. I enjoy giving oral and I guess I'm taking my chances not using a mouth rubber or whatever its called.

Maybe I'm hoping that by using a service like TER which seems to have women who pride themselves in cleanliness and dignity, instead of picking up crack whores on the street (do we even have those in Salt Lake?), I won't ever pick up any bad viral juju.

How am I justifying it? By knowing that this is what I need to do to keep my sexual sanity and keep loving my wife until the day I die.
