I'm not aroused by my duck being puked on.  So I'd go with not gagging.  I'm also not aroused in general by hurting someone.

The thought of a lady gagging because of something we are doing together (except in the setting of a BDSM scene where being "forced" to gag is her turn on) would make me stop immediately.

I've never had a lady gag while giving me head. Either I'm very accommodating size wise or my dates have no gag reflex. I'm hoping it's the later😀. I would never ever force a lady to gag,just not very respectful.

No gagging here.  Naturally I love a great BJ with some DT, etc but the gag part isn't necessary.  A little loving hair pulling is better IMHO.

...I get no additional pleasure from gagging a lady.  I never push on the back of the head.  If she wants to gag herself, and I've run across several women who seem to turn themselves on with this, then I'll let her go with it.  

That being said, generally, the deeper the better.  So if she can take me deep without gagging, then it is generally a better blow job.  (There are always exceptions...there's a certain lady in the Rockies that only takes a couple of inches and she can have me spurting a fountain in a couple of minutes!)

That said, I don't want a provider to gag just to gag.  I like her to take long, deep, continuous strokes up and down my shaft with her mouth. Gagging sometimes impedes that -- and when a provider stops when she hits her limit and then tries to go the extra inch or so, it kills the flow.  

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the extra effort -- but I prefer the motion and consistency.
