In America oral infections like the ones I think you are thinking of are extremely rare.

A while back, teens and pre-teens were passing around HPV by having oral sex with multiple partners at parties.  The youngsters had heard that oral sex was less risky than intercourse and decided to put their theor to the test.

The infections were discovered when some strains of HPV manifested as genital warts, which can appear in the mouth as well, even though that is rare.

You can always use a dental dam for DFK if you are concerned.  Barrier protection is highly reliable.

Strep throat is in fact, relatively rare in adults. It peaks in children 5-15 years of age. To be specific, 80%-85% of the cases of Strep Throat seen are between the ages of 5-15, and 15% are in adults. The vast majority of sore throat is due to virus; which is why smart pediatricians and other primary care providers will do a culture and treat if the rapid strep test is positive.  Before the era of very accurate rapid in office strep tests, we used to hold the Rx until we had results and start if the culture was positive.

London Rayne will tell you that clients have a sexual learning curve, and I have no doubt that improving on that learning curve with London is sheer pleasure,  but I'm going to take a plunge here.  I don't think that the concept of TER and the hobby includes any 5-15 year olds as providers or clients, including at Hilton Head, South Carolina.

In serious summary, the incidence of STD from DFK is infintessimally low so get those tongues going and enjoy.
