providers and self-tanner/Mystic Tan -- bad deal!!

Has anyone had the experience of seeing a provider and after parting company realizing the provider has recently applied or had applied a self-tanning product? (Mystic Tan is one franchise where one can go and pay to get sprayed.)

The way you know it has happened is that within 60 to 90 mintues you'll notice a bitter smell coming from your skin/clothes that DOESN"T WASH OFF!!!!  There is no stain or change in your skin color, but the smell is distinctive, strong and impossible to mask or rid from one's self by conventional means (i.e., soap and water).  You just have to wait for about 24 hours for the smell to subside.

This happened to me last night for the second time in my hobbying carreer and I am just damn lucky that I was out of town on both occasions.  Had I not had two full days before I went home to my wife, I most certainly would have been busted, as she used to use these products until I asked her to stop because I can't stand the smell...

Anyone else had this experience?  I want to think the providers who exposed me to this were simply unaware, but I am interested to know what the point of view is from providers.  Have you heard of this phenomenon/problem?

Providers and hobbyists alike should be aware of this potential "trap".  It is serious and could prove detrimental, at least to the client.

Don't providers owe it to their clients to keep them away from this type of exposure?  It is harder to get rid of and much more distinctive than the smell of perfume.  It seems to me to be lacking in foresight and/or concern for the client's "safety" to apply self-tanner and then go see a client.

I say, if you need to use the stuff you must wait 24 hours before any client contact.

Any comments from providers and/or hobbyists?

I Mystic about three times a week, as I find it saves the skin.  I appear tan, but don't have worries about skin cancer, progressive age spots, and freckles.

Mystic stains my clothing, my bed sheets, socks, and will even stain the leather seats in your car.  Learned that the hard way, so I now use a towel in the seat of my car in the summer to avoid leg lines on my leather seats.

There is no excuse for a Provider doing a spray tan, and transferring to her client.  I had a client once tell me that after a session with a Provider he was badly stained for days, and had to completely avoid nudity in front of the wife.

It doesn't take 24 hours for the smell to go away.  After the first shower, the smell is gone.  If you can smell the bitter odor you were referring to, that means the Provider has not showered since her tan, and I would leave immediately or request that she step into the shower and wash with soap and water.

A store bought self tanner most likely will not transfer, even with sweaty sex, but a Mystic tan most definitely will.
