I mostly dabble in Boston and NYC. That's why I chose "Bosnyc".

who was a friend of my main squeeze/(now ex)provider Beverley Fisher.   After we traveled to visit her, she reported back on the board about the visit calling us Mr. and Ms. Fisher.  This was at about the time I was about to join TER, so I asked Bev if I could borrow her name?   She said of course.   MrFisher* was already taken, but mrfisher was available, so there you have it.

*A very nice guy in Florida with whom I had some nice PM chats with.   I haven't heard from him in a while.  I hope all is well my dear old chum if you see this.

Van the Man was a nickname I picked up in high school. I used to be a Christian, but "deconverted" about 7 years ago, and am now an atheist. So I embraced the number of the beast and added it to my nickname. I do still occasionally get religious and worship goddesses.

I have to own up to it, I'm a romantic at heart--strange in this demimonde of ours, I guess. (But how many of us are secret artists, mystics & dreamers? Maybe a few) So my username is partly what I undoubtedly am (old, and in some ways a relic of a past age) and partly it expresses what I'd like to think I can bring to these later years of life: a certain grace and style, maybe; an appreciation of the pleasures of life, both high-minded and earthy; the perspective of a long life and many memories.

And of course I do what an Old Cavalier should do--

... because of my trade and I didn't know what other handle to use since my usual handle on these types of sites had already been taken. Now I do need to clarify that it could possibly have been that I used that handle to sign up here years ago  (around 2001) and just forgot about it. (lol)

One more thing... if you google my current handle, you'll find that there are a few people who actually use the IBDPhotography moniker which isn't me. I had to shorten my handle because the actual full handle didn't fit the name field.

I like original names and chose Alexandra. Seemed logical to add Milw as it would give anyone a heads up on where I am based at.

I use to have the board handle sexyflirtamber. There was some confusion when i link my profile to board name and thought I'd keep it simple.

The great thing about Alexandra is guys can save my number under Alex, or AL. Just don't call me Al lol

When I need to create a username on the spur of the moment, it's whatever bubbles up from my subconscious.   I don't know why the name Souls Harbor popped up, considering how old the reference is, but it refers to the name of some religious broadcast that was on the TV back about 45 years ago.  I'm not religious then or now and never watched the show, but back in the day we only had a few channels and so I was pretty much aware of all the show titles.

TL_DR; it doesn't really mean anything to me.

It was a LONG time ago, and I thought the name sounded nice.  I hadn't read the book or seen the movie, but it seemed like a swashbuckling character .. (was not even aware of the Fandango thing until later).
One thing folks should be aware of: if you have a unique name it could in theory show up in an internet search and compromise your privacy. That happened to one famous TER member who was discovered by an old friend who knew him by that nickname. Just saying.

I had been a dancer under a different name and always liked the name Brenda but not for dancing-
Brenda sounded like a "normal" name to use for escorting.
Before I was introduced to review boards I was going to an escort party (Meet & Greet) and I only used email at the time- BrendaBoobies@ ---- was easy enough I thought to say to a guy at the escort party in hopes the guy would remember the next day.
I did not have any accounts then, or hobby phone etc - so the quick email then was a easy transformation when I did find review boards.
Boobies... why did I pick that???? I'm sure you can figure that out!!!

It wasn't my first choice when signing up for TER, since every handle that I could think of at the time was already in use.   I went through a dozen or more names and then "TheKarateKid" popped into my mind which evidently worked.  I was into the martial arts when I was younger, so I guess that I do have something in common with that movie. LOL
