My take is it's their business and they run it how they see fit. That said, IMO, it might not be the best marketing plan as many potential clients will just move on (as others here have suggested).
If you're still interested in seeing a particular escort's photos, you can check to see if she's on other escort sites that may have a few photos of her even though it might take just a little more work on your part.
Very few girls who I'd actually want to see put *all* of their photos behind a paywall. For the occasional ones who do I have no problem moving on.

The point of pics, galleries, and videos is to convert me to a purchaser of services or from a potential client to an actual client. Without free access to these there is zero chance that I will ever become a consumer of services of any lady. There are just too many options.
