The two proceeding posts (by Ciara and Sins)are certainly upsetting, but what can any of us do except to regret the distress of two friends who post here regularly and intelligently.

We don't always get the love and respect that we deserve.....not everyone has what it takes to be a provider....definately not for the faint hearted, as we have a tough profession.
All we ask for is a little respect...why do some not understand that is beyond me....we are real people, like every one else....please treat as so.
Of course, that would be impossible: I don't have the physical, intellectual, or emotional equipment to walk a mile in your shoes. I have been hobbying for many years and following these posts and the reviewers posts for only a few months. In general, there is a lot of respect for what you do and I would bet most of the men here were upset by the two posts below. I can't speak for everyone, but I think most of us do respect you and understand how hard --both intellectually and physically-- it is to do what you do. As I have gotten to know the other men here via these posts and many many IM conversations, I realize there are a great number who have fallen in love with providers and there are even greater numbers who view providers as friends and respected professionals. Please take heart, you are generally deeply appreciated.
yes, you are correct about the TER guys that post on the boards...having the upmost respect for us. I have met some wonderful people here. Sadly, not all are like that.
Thanks TER guys, for your support and letting us ladies vent...we all need a special place to go to don't we? This is one of the greatest caring communities.... in a small piece of our world.

we can't walk a mile in your shoes. I've seen some of the shoes you ladies wear, and I couldn't make it more than three steps without serious injury.
Seriously, you're right, we have no idea what you go through, but I do think that there are a lot more of us who genuinely appreciate you than there are who don't. Unfortunately, they are the ones who stick out like a sore thumb.
I know many of us ladies have had gentlemen who have done things to us without regard to our feelings or safety.
Lately I have felt better in regards to my benefit to this community. I get many wonderful replys from gentlemen just saying hi or thanking me for a post. The gentlemen above have each sent me PMs and have been very friendly and encouraging.It is always a bright spot in my day.
In every community you have people who follow the rules and those who follow their own with little care for others. It's just that way in life in general. We, being nonconformists, should understand that a little better.
It really upsets me when one of the ladies I see on a regular basis tells me about some jerk who was disrepectful or even too rough with her. But it does make her appreciate me even more. Guys just need to be more sensitive and appreciate what all you ladies do for us. I'm not in real good shape physically & yet all the ladies I've seen have treated me like it didn't matter. Thank you ladies.
