So I was hoping 2022 would be  less stressful than 2021. But then minutes into the new year the house on the property I live on caught fire. The day before my clutch went out. And something else, I can't remember or don't want to remember. Anyone have similar luck ? Or anyone want to give me some pointers on not letting this kind of thing foretell the rest of the year ?  
I would love to hear some sexy new year stories.

In the movie The World According to Garp (I think) a couple (Garp) is looking at a house to buy with the realtor and suddenly an airplane crashes into the side of it.  Garp immediately buys it on the theory that such an event would never likely occur again.

So maybe it is unlikely that bad events will occur again.  You front loaded them all.

(This is actually bad statistical thinking, but maybe good for the psych.)

Maybe you have gotten the worst part of the year out of the way early. What I try and do is constantly remind myself that no matter what we are going through at the moment, someone, somewhere, is going through something much. much worse.  
As an example, here In Philly yesterday, we had a horrific house fire where TWELVE people lost their lives. Many of the victims were very young children.  
Sometimes tragedies make us focus on the good things in life we have and that if your (plural) problems are fixable, try and find some solace in that.

Yeap 22 is interesting for me too! good and bad ...I watched literally rain that I expected, turn into snow I did not.   Nor was prepared for. Nor is this thru and thru beach kid prepared to drive in and on said snow double Yikes  .....had to come to Nc for a family funeral figured i could stay longer and hang with friends, found a cute as fuck place to have fun at now just entertaining myself as nobody wants to come out and play other than the notorious no good. As the yummy good folks know this weather and do not take chances such is life lets hope 22 turns around and gets good again for everyone soon...

Business is picking back up again after a very slow Nov and Dec.. Life couldn't be better..

That's true for random events. Not for events where there is cause - effect relationship established.  

So I immediately booked a date with my current favorite lady and had her fuck my brains out.
2022 pushes on me, I'm pushing right back.

Maybe I should book a date with one of the fine ladies in San Diego. Or a massage. That sounds awesome.

And I was driving when the clutch went out but I got off the freeway. But I know what you all are saying and my problems are fixable. And I usually get slaughtered w bad luck all at once. And I always made it thru. Always have, always will. But it doesn't hurt to hear encouragement. Thanks everyone.
