Secondly, what I am about to post doesn't really matter to me - I don't care what others do as long as it doesn't hurt me, or mine, ya know? But, I find myself shaking my head saying WTF??..and I DO care about The Game, and about my clients..

More and more often, I hear the guys tell me about 1)threats, 2)ultimatums, 3)'blackmail' type attitudes from providers they are seeing or abominable attitudes in general.

YourKarmaSuitsYa posted something, below, that prompted this post as it was 'the straw'...

Guys, let me ask you..if a lady you have been seeing VERY regularly told YOU that UNLESS you can commit to seeing her EVERY SINGLE week, WITHOUT fail, then don't bother seeing her at all, what would you say/do?

Here's some more the guys have communicated:

1)she'll only see you if you write a review, or don't make the appointment??
2)She'll only see you if you only see HER, but if she ever hears you've seen someone else, she'll not only NEVER see you again, but she may call your WIFE??

Why on earth would anyone put up with this nonsense?
There's only one way I can think of to stop it, and that's stop seeing them! There are so many lovelies out there, who know what side their bread is buttered on, and know how to take good care of their clients, why would anyone put up with that kind of sh*t?

Beyond that, I can't imagine that, in the long run, this could ever serve them well.  This seems like something that would come back and bite them im the butt.

I'd run like hell...but, thankfully, I've never met any providers anything like that. But people are people, whether they be clients or providers, some tend to be possessive and/or controlling.  I suppose its another thing to watch out for.

Blackmail of any kind is a process and not an event. Best stop it right away at the beginning instead of after a long (and painful) path. So the "WTF" is the perfect response. -Shiro.

Let him blow off some steam and then try to change the subject.  I just don't think it's ever good to get involved, for you to stay positive and have fun is what's important.

ps. I think the men around here are lucky, there is no shortage of finding great ladies on TER!

Put up with that kind of shit??  Not in this damn lifetime & probably not the next one either!  Few things turn me off as quickly as what I perceive to be a shitty attitude...but trying to dictate what I say, think, or do will accomplish that in extremely short order.  

I don't know who the gals are that these guys have told you about that attempt that sort of manipulative bullshit...I've never had it happen to me.

Yes, it is not like it is a Federal Grand Jury here (or even Kenneth Stark for that matter!) But whatever you do, make sure you get that dressed cleaned for them afterwards.

I did have an experience a few months ago with two ladies (who were also best friends) that I were seeing regularly.  They both began calling me at least once a week to "see if I wanted some company that evening."  It became very difficult to deal with them after a while, without hurting anyone's feelings.

Finally, I just had to say that I appreciated their calling but if I wanted to schedule an appointment I WOULD CALL THEM.  I stopped taking their calls and they didn't call further, after about 2 weeks.  Oyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

Some people are into playing games, others are addicted to melodrama in thier lives, either way they defenitely both have issues and I am so glad I'm not a part of it. Amazes me how juvenile some adults can be.

I've never had anything of the sort happen to me.  I certainly wouldn't stand for it.  Probably blast the providers name all over these boards, other guys deserve to know what to expect.

It does however explain why I won't give out work information.  You just never know who might be the first.  I'm single, so nobody to threaten me with at home.

Kind of makes me PMS too!  I write reviews 1/3 times or so...see her once a week---forgetaboutit!  It seems some hobbyests end up dealing with all the problems that this hobby is meant to avoid!

Sedona - don't forget. How the other people in your industry treat their customers directly affects you. Your business, like the items I sell, are a luxery (though your product is probably more "necessary" than mine - collectible knicknacks!!). If a hobbyist doesn't have a good experience with a girl, they're less likely to try again. It's the same in my business - there's a lot of fraud out there, and I often wonder and worry how many new customers are lost because they get screwed over the first time they buy something and don't want to get nailed again. Screw me once, shame on you...

they should get out. we are there for the pleasure of the gentlemans company(and the money is nice) not a like a wife telling then what and when to do things. those girls need to be out of the bussiness and if you guys post when they do something they will be out the door. TREAT PEOPLE LIKE YOU WANT TO BE TREATED i guess they didn't learn that growing up..

I agree, those guys who put up with that stuff completely dumbfound me as well!

If she threatens to call SO on me, than I retort that it will guarantee that I never her again, and will inform all on TER of her "indiscretion".  Also, I would infer that she should probably change her phone number as I would tip off neighbors and local LE as to HER activities.  (In warfare, they say that the aggressor sets the rules of engagement... if she goes scorched earth, than so do I).

In reality, I would probably yes her to death and then drift away.  (I'd visit but funds are tight, I'll be out of town on business, etc.)
