I have a fondness for people's natural body scents, and it saddens me when they cover that up with fake/chemically soap, deodorant, and other heavily scented fragrances.

I think an unscented soap, or something natural and infused with essential oils, is the way to go. So many beauty and hygiene products these days are full of crap ingredients, so I appreciate going back to the basics.

I make my own soap and deodorant for personal use, out of all natural/raw/virgin/organic ingredients. I love knowing what I'm putting in and on my body! For my body wash, I use coconut oil, sea salt, essential oils (whatever I feel like at the time; I gravitate towards "woodsy" scents), and just a dab of fresh lemon. For my deodorant, it's much the same, except I add in some rubbing alcohol, apple cider vinegar, and then way more essential oils to cover up the harsh smell of those two ingredients.

For clients, I always bring my own supplies to my incalls. I have an unscented soap for the shower (Dr. Bronner's), a lightly scented natural soap (one for shower and one for sink), and two shampoo options. I bring a giant jug of natural mouthwash, with tiny little one-time-use cups. I bring natural essential oil body wipes, and floss (the little pick variety, not the long bit of string), and Listerine. There is no excuse for my clients to not have immaculate hygiene! With clients, my big thing is options. They are paying a lot of money for an experience with me, so the least I could do is provide them with a few options so that they can choose the hygiene products that best work for them.

I was taking my weekly shower this morning and it got me thinking about the use of soap.

Now which type of soap do you ladies prefer us men to use? We all seen the axe soap commercial do you prefer that type of soap, or unscented soap?

When you are at a hotel do you use the soap that they provide or do you bring your own for us to use? I for one would not want to use a soap bar that already been use by somebody else. Just for the record the ladies come to me, I don't go to the ladies place so I won't know about what type of soap they provide.

The main question here is scented or unscented soap preference?

nothing smells better or more intoxicating than a clean man :)

I agree man or women.

use a soap that smells like the one they use at your gym, or your going to have some 'splaining to do

you have opened the door for me to ask the question..."who invented/discovered it and how did they "learn" to make it"...I mean did some early man discover while scraping an animal skin that the rendered fat "cleaned" his hands?  Where early man got the knowledge to do certain things escapes me....and please don't say aliens....LOL.

A strong scent like Axe makes me nauseous. If you greet me with a strong smell like that, I will probably request that you take a shower before we get close ;)

The OP asked about the Providers' prefs but I am unapologetically more concerned about the odors I take with me after I leave. UNSCENTED soap is required.

I show up clean or sweaty from travel but basically clean. And I shower upon arrival anyway. I hope that the smell of "clean" is good enough and does need perfumes or scents to cover up any foul smells.

For us, please provide unscented soap. Not even Man Soap. My regular soaps are unscented or very weakly scented so if I show up someplace smelling like Axe or Brut or some kind of spice, it will raise a nostril or two of suspicion.

Thank you, ladies.

Started Showering with this during my under graduate years in College after track and Cross Country practices and meets.  Love the clean scent,  love smelling like a young clean jock

It's my favorite, I can buy it in bulk, I use it for everything, and it's made from organic oils.  :)

I sometimes add a few drops of tangerine essential oil so it smells refreshing in the shower, but it's far too mild a scent to linger on someone's body.

I also hate artificial chemical fragrances and I really prefer that my gentlemen show up smelling like a man rather than a bunch of chemicals...

+1 Except I like the pepermint because it makes me tingle in all the right places.

Dr. Bronner's is a longtime favorite of mine.  The original peppermint formula remains my favorite.

If I'm pressed up against someone for a long enough time, I can smell their aftershave and soap on my skin and in my sheets or upholstery after they are long gone. Please, light or no aftershave and soap that smells like soap or unscented. I don't want my body or my boudoir to smell like a man for the rest of the day.
