Sorry if this issue has already been posted on a thread elsewhere. I searched and could not find one.

I live in the DC area and the recent debacle with the DC Madam has brought a screeching halt to the activites of a lot of hobbyists in our area.

Here's the problem.Until the DC Madam exposed 40,000 phone numbers, most of us had faith in the credo of "what happens here, stays here." Personally, I want to continue my hobby but cannot afford to take the chance there is another DC Madam out there some where.

I realize that a provider needs to confirm I am not LEA or some whacko but at the same time, I can no longer risk letting a provider know my true name, where I work, my cell number, etc.

Any suggestions on how I can assure a provider that I am not a cop or a whacko but concurrently protecting my identity?

You can join Date-check.com. They don't verify your real name. I would suggest you just use your first name. About the phone number, you may have to get a throw-away phone. Most ladies wont book with you if there is no way to contact you. I have before if the guy is really a good email comunicator.
