In the TER posts and reviews, cleanliness always seems to be most important thing.

The French perfume Je Reviens is purportedly a quote of the Emperor Napoleon which was ''ne lavez pas, je revien'' which translates as 'don't wash, I'm coming home'  

Without giving the French too much of a hard time (they've had plenty just lately) how do providers and hobbyists feel about this?

I would agree with Napoleon's tastes here, but then I don't believe Josephine would have seen another fellow earlier in the day. So it's a delicate balance, I'm sure, and erring on the side of cleanliness is probably best.

Josephine.  Otherwise you're doing spot checks the rest of the week with a bowl of water and a cloth.  (One reason why "Swimming" was called "bathe-ing" for so long...  Giving us the word "bathing suit" as a legacy.)

Perhaps sex with Napoleon was a sweaty affair... so why get cleaned up and reek for a few days...might as well wait.

Perhaps Napoleon wanted to soil her while he was still grimey from the ride home and then bathe together to conserve the labour of heating all that water on the stove and still have the dinner ready on time.

Perhaps, as you suggest, he liked dirty sex.
Perhaps I read way too much.  Sorry.

But to answer your question:  I like to begin clean as a whistle and get dirty as we progress.  I like my lady to begin dirty and, somehow, become clean by the end.

I actually considered posting on the earlier thread about whay I find sexiest about a woman "Her smell".  I think a woman's natural body smell, assuming that she hasn't been working excessively or had sexual relations already that day, and has "rinsed" after her toilet, can be one of the sexiest things in the world, depending on the woman.  If it is a lady I know, and who has adhered to the conditions above, I would love to see a provider be "natural".  I think it can be very sexy.  The olfactory senses are the most evocative to me.

Honestly have a few clients that request no perfume or deodorant. I do shower before. Also I only see one per day so always clean.I think most men like the scent of a woman.

For some reason, this subject reminds me of a piece written by Cynthia Payne (someone who gets dragged out by the British media whenever the subject of prostitution is raised).  The whole article is with reference to the Belle de Jour blogger, and good old Cynthia comes across as being in a bit of a time warp, but it's the part about the client who had a penchant for ladies' armpits to which I'd respectfully draw your attention.

I'm just thinking about how ripe that girl must have smelled, even after a couple of days.  Earthy, if not woody, but then again my gamekeeper has no time to rinse either before I meet him in the woodshed.  To confess whether I stick my nose in his armpit would be telling tales, so I'll keep schtum.  But, you know vot vee are like, vee krazee Inglisch, mein Herr!
