Is your sexual preferences affected by what you see in porn???

I know that watching too much porn has affected many guys, I can see & feel during my sessions that some really reenact porn scenes and finishes.

I was even discussing with a client of mine couple nights ago, about how he should let go off rosie palm & the GB flick for a while to get his sexual drive back on the road.

Then, I found this post somewhere else...very interesting view:

--------------------------------------------------

"""I have a quagmire in my head. It all began with internet and the easy access to porn.
Man, the internet fucked my mind up. I went from the fun teen blond lesbian porn. Then it got boring.
Slowing I went up the ladder to MMF porn.
Than that got boring. Then went to mature porn (not granny, but up to 40s). Then had a small period in BDSM (didn't like it too much), got tired.
Looked at watersports once, got disgusted almost threw up, never looked at it again.
Then everything in between. Got boring. Not the same anymore.
And one day... hmm.. what's a shemale? I had an idea, but why the fuck not.
Then the fucked up psychological problem set in.
First I would only watch when its a Shemale with Chick.
Then I would watch Shemale with Shemale or Chick
Then It would be only Shemale with Shemale/Chick/Guy (but guy was supposed to do the fucking ONLY)
Then I slipped further...
And this crept in real life. Before I would contain this as a thing of fantasy, fuck it, a lot of people fantasize about fucked up shit.
So I saw providers. Nice ones. I love women. I love the whole nine. Then on a business trip to Miami, one night in South Beach, I was in a hotel, drunk, and decided to go on eros. Go there, hmm..why not the TS section. And there was my first experience.
Then a few more. The worst is that after every fucking time with a TS i feel pissed off. I swear to myself that this is the last time. I am a man goddamit. I am not attracked to men. These are NOT chicks with dicks. They are man with tits. Want to puke.
Two, three weeks later, hmm, chick with a dick... and there I am on Eros or CL again.
Many times I just look and don't call. But once in a while I pick up that phone and get pissed at myself for it later.
Fucked up shit, aint it."""

Did the internet porn changed your sexual needs?

It certainly changed mine I LOVE anal GBs lolololol

..that is what the producers of "Brokeback Mountain" are hoping, but speaking solely for myself I have to say...

...It ain't gonna happen.

I looked at porn for 30 years, and the same things turned me on.  It didn't change.  BBBJ's with facials or swallowing, DATY, lesbian scenes, threesomes, either combinations, with or without DP, Russian, and a little bit of a foot fetish.

Not only did these same things turn me on, but I pretty much liked seeing the same women perform them.

It wasn't until I got into the hobby that anal, gang bangs and fisting seemed that they could be enjoyable.  Visually, they didn't appeal to me too much.

I rather think there are different paths to discovering different flavors of pleasure, but it has to be something that's in you to begin with that gets unlocked.

TS or gay porn doesn't appeal to me.  Even if it's a gang bang, it doesn't seem like sex to me unless a woman is involved.  Take her out of the picture, and everything is either boring or nauseating.

I feel sorry for that guy.  It's too apparent he's not handling his complex sexual identity very well.

with my sexual desires.  Before the internet I felt embarrassed or ashameed to ask a girlfriend or provider to do something like COF, but seeing so much of it on the internet, it made me feel like everyone does it.  Same for golden showers.

Well certainly that dude has some things he needs to work out in his head, but I don't think the internet made him do it.  It may have opened his eyes, but that feeling of being with a TS had to be there to start with.  I look at it this way--a person can view all sorts of internet sites of containing violence and physical abuse, but unless a person has that tendancy to begin with, he's not gonna go on a killing spree.  Hell, even in that dude's own words shows that a base desire had to be there--he looked at watersports and BDSM also, but he didn't act on those fantasys.

That dude needs to get some therapy to help him get a grip on who he is and just what turns him on.  He's pretty plainly found something that pushes his buttons, and he can't cope with that.  If you find something that works for you, then go find people to share it with and have a good time.  As long as everyone involved is an informed consenting adult, where's the problem?

As for myself, I was able to find out about different things, some of which didn't do much for me and some of which REALLY REALLY did.  I was able to get information about how to do things properly and safely via the Net, and it's helped me have a great time.  I know the difference between porn and "real life", and why "real life" is ever so much better.

Sure, it's fun to check out the latest offerings from the video companies, and I like the ever-changing stream of fresh talent.  I've pretty much figured out what turns my crank by now, though, and I'm happy with it.  It may not match up with everyone else, but I'm totally cool with that.

I think ya' gotta have a latent sexual curiosity or desire for porn to fuel the fire. I guess I must have had had a real latent penchant for hetero-Greek and Asian.

is that his sexual experiences have become, over time, completely fetish-based, and the human component is gone.  He's not having sex with a TS, he's having sex with the idea of a TS.  If he was having sex with a TS who ended up talking with or even cuddling with him, then he might be turning a little gay but he wouldnt be nearly as tortured as he now is.  What this guy probably needs to do is either (a) get sexually sober through a 12-step program, or (b) start seeing a GFE provider with a strong kink side who can help him live through his dirty fantasies while still maintaining real human contact through the experience.  (If he needs a cock, she can use a strap-on!)  If you're listening, good luck dude.

Maybe he has a propensity toward addictions, just as many who satrt with Marijuana graduate to other more extreme drugs. maybe its heredity maybe its not. I remember the day when Cocaine was the big thing, I would be fine with just one line for the night which enable me to down more brewskis, on the other hand my buddy would have a need for more and basically feind for it all night.
your thoughts on this.

but yes sex (and the hobby) can be addictive.  There's a ton of literature on this.  On the other hand, you may learn more than you want to know.

Very very true, and I also feel bad for the guy. It would almost be a little hard to believe except that I know someone whose interests and struggles run almost the exact same course.

Some of the discussion on this thread has been about it being a "gay" thing... I'm not sure that it is. I'm not sure that it isn't, either. There are some things that just aren't black and white, and this is one.

the proliferation of Facials. Many civvies won't take a facial because they see it as demeaning. On the other hand, many providers will take splooge to the face.

When it interferes with the enjoyable living of your life.

It is a bit unfair to try to perform a psychological analysis of  person based on a brief blog, but speaking in general terms, most of what is said here rings true.

The porn should serve your purposes, and not become an end in itself.

I fast forward through BJ, anal, lesbian and threesome scenes.

So my answer would be no, although I learned a lot from porn.

I have only received.  If a provider asked me to give, I would consider it an honor, but I'm not holding my breath (or my bladder.)

Ditto on the brown thing.

BJ scenes have to be the most boring thing in porn.

As for threesomes, well, if there's more than one dude fast-forward isn't fast enough -- I skip to the next chapter.

I think it can create an impression on an inexperienced person who hasn't done enough to develop his or her own sexual style and taste. I always told my kids that most of what see in porn (as in TV news) does not reflect real life. Centerfolds are not as hot as the look on paper, and just because someone does something in a porn movie doesn't mean that it should be something you expect (or even want) with a real partner.

For example...facials. Coming on someone's face just doesn't feel good, and the only way I can explain it becoming popular is that you saw it in porn, where it is deemed a necessity to show that the film's stud actually went off. I'd much rather have her keep her mouth shut until I've delivered every last drop. Back in the 1970s, no one had ever heard of it. However, if you watched a lot of porn before you became sexually active, you probably fixated on the facial as the exciting climax and that's what you wanted to do.

Another porn creation is deep throat. Before the movie became popular, pumping it down a girl's throat just wasn't done. A couple of years later it seemed like half the girls I dated were trying to prove they could eat the whole thing.

I think porn has always had an influence as long as its been around. In the 1970s, I read a piece of fiction in a men's magazine, with an enticingly described ATM scene. I read it to my then girlfriend, who immediately offered to do it. (I actually said no, since I wasn't interested in shitty kisses.)
