First of all I hate to even ask "What will you do" type of questions, as I am fully capable of making my own decisions.  That being said, what I am looking for is additional perspective on this matter..

You can significantly reduce exposure risk by controlling the environment and type of contact.

I'd go for it but not in FL. The entire state is a giant hot spot that just set its own record for new cases and hospitalizations. So even if you're taking precautions, it's in a giant Petri dish.
So I'd pick another venue for b) and go for that.

and I wouldn't travel to Florida right now under any circumstances. If I were taking immuno-suppressants, that can make the COVID vaccine less effective, that would add to the risk considerably. Better to be bored than, at best, anxious or, at worst, sick from COVID. My 2 cents. Good luck with your decision.

You know your own health and risks much better than I could possible infer from your post. One thing you're not really mentioning is others around you.

Are you overweight? Do you jab your gut with insulin? Is your immediate family vaccinated, great to hear you're vaccinated.
Not knowing your situation it'll be really hard for anyone to chime in. What are you coming home too?

the strip clubs and goes with one-on-one escort encounters, he lowers his risk factor significantly.  I also agree with Nicky and Herb about the option of a different venue.  There are resort areas up the coast in the Carolinas that have some beautiful escorts and much less worry about Covid.

Canada leads the world in vaccination success. And the p4p scene up there is world renowned.

If you vaccinated you are fine.  Only 4% of the hospitalization are vaccinated people. That means the vaccine is 96% effective in keeping you out of the hospital.  That is way better than the annual flu vaccine, better than the pnumonia vaccine and better than the shingles vaccine.  If 96% isn't good enough for you, you are seeking the wrong form of entertainment.  And yes, I am a native Floridian

Why? Cloth masks basically do nothing to protect the wearer.

But looks like this is something we will have to live with for rest of our lives. Just like we are living w/ influenza virus.  We will have to take shots to protect us from it. If this was it then i would gladly put up with "house arrest" for another 6 months.. But the virus will mutate into the next greek alphabet sooner than we realize.  

The way my mind works, staying home would be better idea than going to another place, because it's August.. And in August I always go to Miami. Just like after World Series I always go to Vegas, and I go to New York during Christmas..  (except for last year)..

The whole point of the vaccine is to fight COVID when you get it not if you get infected with COVID. Everybody is going to get infected with this virus one way or another. If you have serious health condition you can hide in your house until this virus and its mutations goes away.  

No smoking or drugs.. Occasional 420  lol which I vape not smoke..  I am 165 lbs 5'8.. Not diabetic, but have a rheumatoid arthritis for which I take a shot of Humira every 3 weeks..   I live by myself, so coming home to no-one. No wife or kids.. Not even pets.  

I should have stated that I go to strip clubs in the afternoon..  The girls are in LESS hustling mode at the time. The  nights get wild..  But I will think about skipping them altogether..

Buying N95 right now..  They are not cheap.. So definitely worth it..

The Canadian border is scheduled to open on August 9 to fully vaccinated Americans. A negative PCR test is required within 72 hours of entry into Canada and for return to the USA.  Random testing may also be done at the Canadian border or Canadian port of entry.

The Food at Tootsies is one of the best kitchen in a club (of any kind) that I have found to be..  I met a couple of guys back in 2019 who were local businessmen in the Miami Gardens area who come to Tootsies just for the food.   Their wings, pizza, subs.. oh my god ! heaven..

Is to live as long as possible then just stay home.  If your goal is to live, then just go out and have a good time and forget about all this virus stuff.  If your goal is to wait for it to pass and then start living, well you may regret that.  Total government control is coming, so if you don't live now you may never get that chance.

This is just where I'm at. I've followed most of the recommended protocols throughout COVID. Avoided anything with large groups inside, masked until I was fully vaccinated, washed my hands, sanitized and so forth. Got vaccinated as soon as I could. I'm over 60 but don't have any other risk factors.

I think I would plan a trip to an area of the country that had fewer cases of the virus and where hospitals were not being over burdened with covid cases.  Florida, especially the southeastern part ( including Lauderdale) and Texas account for somewhere around  35% of all the new cases.

Go ahead and have your vacation, but
 use common sense. When out and about if lots of people around mask up and if seeing a provider ask her status. Me I had Moderna 2nd round in May had a rapid test last week,  my friends are the same way we take good could care of ourselves for our clients. Personally, I do not mind showing my card lol it is the new way of life I suppose ..

.. I was with one SB all through out the pandemic. She has since moved to another part of the country to pursue career. She was a grad student. Being in somewhat of a monogamous relationship certainly helped during the pandemic.  

Are the Uber / Lyft drivers wearing masks?  Just trying to get a pulse on how people are treating the outbreak. I just got back from a Happy Hour, and took Uber back to my crib, and the Uber dude was all masked up. I was masked up too.

I dunno, I might ask the provider to wear a mask, would be kind of kinky IMHO. You can wear the mask in the club.

I know 2 people in the DC area who were full vaccinated. Both got sick with covid-19 while on vacation in Florida.  

So if your point is to stay out of Florida right now that would be prudent.  However since you are an anti-science sort, I'm sure you are attempting to impugn the effectiveness of the vaccine.  You have failed. The vaccines were designed to prevent severe covid, hospitalization, and death. They work remarkably well to that end. However a small percentage of vaccinated people may get breakthrough infections, especially due to the highly transmissible delta variant, that are typically mild or asymptomatic. I wouldn't mind so much constantly educating you on science but you have no mental capacity to retain the education so you continue to be a failure.

In northern Virginia. All died in the ICU of covid-19.  So much for keeping people for expiring from covid-19.

You can catch the Delta variant in 1 day.  Also they have other variants in southern Florida, a special Columbian one that is 10% of the cases (it has not been named yet).

Ultra liberal California has more deaths per day from Covid than Florida right now.  The focus on Florida by the liberal media is because they consider Desantis a presidential candidate threat in 2024.  Their hero Cuomo has New York with nearly twice the cumulative death rate than Florida.  But the liberal media claimed Cuomo "did it right."  They lie with such abandon.

Because most of the NY cases and deaths happened more than a year ago, when there was much less known about Covid and no vaccine. The illnesses and deaths right now are nowhere near as bad as in Florida.
Fester should be embarrassed to say ANYONE else lies with such abandon.

Yet another reason not to know you. If that's true, and I seriously suspect it is not, that flies in the face of the fact that 98% to 99% of COVID deaths are in the unvaccinated.

The issue here is not if one is more likely to get infected in CA vs FL.  Yes, CA is pretty bad too, and why even bring up CA. I am not going to CA or was ever considering going to CA.  

First of all, Just keep putting it out there and tell the person that you are requiring that she wears the mask.

So I came back in town from Fort Lauderdale last Friday  8/20.. And had a great time out there..

Based on  following different doctors on cable news and the like, it is my understanding that while both unvaccinated and vaccinated folks can carry the same amount of viral load, some studies have shown that the duration for which the vaccinated carry the load is a lot less than the duration for which unvaccinated carry the load..
