Refuting your compliment in order to hear you reaffirm it...again...and again...women invented modesty, but for selfish reasons, me thinks.

Yes and they just eat that up too, don't they?

So the compliments most guys give while in bed are sincere- at least at that moment.

I think the Love Goddess could describe the phenomenon better than me, but it's part of the way sex is designed to bond men and women together.  She could tell you what endorphins are released, etc.

Call it your "sex goggles," but when you have sex, a woman's face is flush and her pink bits are excited and look delicious, and she smells good and feels good.  As a result, she really is beautiful to you, especially since all the senses are heightened.

And let's face it, every guy knows an '8" becomes a "10" the minute she starts giving you a blow job.

You may bond with hookers, but I don't.
Fuck the endorphins. I am there to release sperm, not to get into a mind fuck.

Truth be told, most of the compliments I hand out are to get better service or extras.

I didn't say anything about bonding with hookers.  Some people, though apparently not you, actually have had sex with women they didn't pay.  My comments were referring to universal human behaviors, not just P4P, and definitely not the false compliments some people give to get better service or extras.

And BTW, if you ever did spend any time on the Erotic Highway board, you'd be shocked at how many guys from this site have asked Love Goddess for help because they've fallen for an escort.  I'm not one of them, but it is more common than you might think.

is not always a true compliment.
O yes you believe it at the time, but i think sometimes men are blinded by a good fucking.
And we too have our flaws.
I for one do not see myself as *beautiful* so as often I am told that when they are in the middle of a great blow job I don't see they are thinking clearly. I'm cute and even pretty but beautiful...probably not.

So I am complimenting this girl during pillow talk telling her how great she is, how she has the perfectly contoured body, and a beautiful face with a great smile. but I am met with the same response that you hear in the civie world. The usual is shut up,or i'm fat, etc.  Is that one thing most girls can't fake, there insecurities about themselves?

This is a P4P board the last time I looked. Forgive me for forgetting where I was.
My answer was in the context of the hobby.

I have read the EH, and yes it is shocking that so many guys are such pansies and can't control their emotions while paying hookers for sex. I respect that the EH exists, but I have little interest in the psychoanalytical aspect of a hobby which should not be complicated at all.

I did not not miss your point G2. I just sharpened my own.

It should have said "I'm NOT one of them" when I was talking about guys falling in love with escorts.  I corrected it with an edit.  Sorry for the confusion.

Yes, it's shocking how many guys can't separate reality from P4P, but that was part of my point.  Human emotions can't be turned off for a lot of people.  They forget not all sex is the same.  Seeing escorts isn't the same as sex with a GF, but they can't differentiate between the two because of the chemicals being released in the brain.  It affects some people more than others.

...whether she's a provider or a civvie, assuming I really believe it (and even sometimes when I don't!)  And I've never been with any woman who didn't appreciate it, most recently with providers.  Suggest you find a more appreciative partner.

Going to look him in the eye and say thank you. I have no idea if it's sincere and I don't care. If he wants to say something nice I am not going to shoot him down. I hate when women do that and I really do think it's a chic thing.

I have several long term clients, many yrs. One of my oldest clients whom I see every week for several hrs for the last 6yrs, theres a connection there there are emotions involved it gets complicated over time.
Its not always a quick hr or two of unemotional sex. Its human connections sometimes they can't be helped.
I spent the day today with a long time client, brunch the day at the aquarium and then an early dinner and coffee. We do this often and frankly if I didn't like him as a person and enjoy his company on a level a bit more than p4p, I couldn't do this with him so often.
Yes its a paid venture bujt more is there all the way around on both sides.
If this is not what you want thats cool but there are those that do and for some it works.
P4P does not have a one set way of intereacting with each other. There are going to be ppl you click with its the law of averages. If t doesn't work for you thats fine but to pass your ideas of whats what on to someone else well thats rediculous.

...to certainly having my share of insecurities, so it can be difficult for me to know how to take compliments. while in the front of my mind i may recognize a compliment as sincere, in the back of my mind i think "oh, he doesn't really think that, he's just trying to be nice." however my Husband is the one who taught me years ago the only acceptable way to respond to a gentleman's compliments: "thank you," with a smile. so that is how i will respond, even if on the inside i still feel insecure and have my doubts.

perhaps the women you have met have not yet learned the proper way to respond to a compliment, regardless of how they may personally view themselves.

I know you said you'd like to counsel people when you grow up, hmmm, I mean for your second career, but if you try, you'll just cause much more pain to those who have to listen to you, than what you relieve them of. I sure hope you're not a teacher or professor of some sort, because if you are, I can't imagine anyone could listen to you for more than a minute without getting physically ill.

1.  I don't give compliments that are not deserved.  But that being said I have yet to receive anything but thanks.  Now on the other hand I have a hard time taking similar compliments.

I've never seen a skinny woman swallow so much jizz.  Or, your tits aren't like that saggy bitch I saw last week.  They seem appreciative.  I think it's because I'm so honest.  2 weeks ago I told a lady that I could see why she'd blur her picture with a face like hers.

I was thinking the 2 possibilities mentioned here, its not an unappreciative no I hear, but more like modesty and looking for more compliments. or they just don't believe it. I don't pay compliments very often, but when I do, you can be damn sure they are sincere and true from my point of view.

Many people have unrealistically negative views of themselves, and tend to discount clear evidence that that their views of themselves are unrealistically negative.

It can be very healthy to learn to "examine the evidence" for and against both positive and negative views of oneself in a way that is more objective and realistic.

An example:   I gave a provider a well-deserved compliment that was not sex-related, and she gave an honest response:  "I accept that I have sex appeal".  Having sex appeal is a really good thing, but her intended meaning was that her sex appeal was one of the few positive things about herself that she believed was true.  Learning to look realistically at the evidence for other positive things about herself would be a healthy thing for her to do.

I for one will not book a session with a lady I don't find attractive at some level. Now I like the looks for women of all shapes, races and sizes. But if I am booking something turned me on about you pictures or maybe something else. If I am shelling out hundreds of dollars an hour you better believe your attractive to me or you are paying me a great insult to my judgement. And when I book I do not have my sex glasses on.

The providers are paid to be nice. They may mean it, they may not.

The guys aren't paid, but still may or may not mean it. Sometimes he may be trying to salvage a session, or who knows.

That said, it is no different than the civvie world. Take it FWIW, say thank you and don't worry about it.
