If the entire thread was removed that's what the comment would say.

Normally, yes but it's not user error. Both my posts on the same thread also show as active in the trash bin, and the thread in question is indeed gone from the board.

My guess is it's not being displayed and it's in some kind of limbo with admin. Or the thread was removed not because admin didn't like it but the OP deleted the OP itself? Maybe. Just guessing. The thread is definitely gone though. Oh well, whatever, it's gone.

probably because the OP asked for it to be removed. It became a shitty thread, instead of a nice guy asking for some help for someone in need.

I guess I am probably the only one here who has ever been on the "Trash Bin" is an actual board, but like the "Moderator Only" or "Provider Board" it is a limited access board.

 
If a post is simply disallowed, the poster can still read it by going into "my posts" and clicking on the post, no one else of course can see a post that has been disallowed. In the case of the Trash Bin, no one without access to that board, meaning everyone but admin, can read the post.

 
The reason for moving a post to the Trash Bin vary depending on who put it there, Sometimes it's because a post is so egregious it needs to be saved for future reference, other times it's done for other reasons, I seem to remember a lot of the Russian spam posts ended up there, but it's been a LOT of years since I had access to that board, plus I drink a lot, so I wouldn't put a lot of stock in my memories of that board. lol

 
The one thing I can tell you is that from your perspective and every other TER poster, for all intents and purposes a post/thread moved to the trash bin is the same thing as being "not allowed. Why it was moved there? Only the member of admin who moved it there could tell you.

When a rare post of mine ends up there it's because it was disallowed several times, and edited several times.  At a certain point Admin gets tired of seeing it come back and posts it to the Trash Bin.
