I REALLY hate how hard it's become to meet anyone now.

Since no one has responded to my post for my upcoming trip to Chattanooga, I started looking around on other sites.

I found a possible provider on skipthegames, and sent her an email.  She responded that I needed to do this "free" verification thing before she would share details, contact info, donation amounts, etc.

It's some site called "Escortearth.com" slash her Her Name.

The site says it's all free verification, but it uses a credit card to ensure that you’re over eighteen.

Okay, my credit card has really good fraud protection, so I gave it a shot.  Got a transaction declined error.

I'm like, okay, why was a transaction even attempted when it's supposed to be free... then my card company called me (within thirty seconds) and said that two transactions had been attempted, one for one dollar and on for $59.95.

I emailed the provider back and asked her about the two charges for the "free" verification site, and she said that it was her "booking fee"

Huh?  What happened to "free verification"?

And, why should I pay a fee when I'm not even sure if I'm going to book her? I'd like to know what her rates are before I decide and all. Will this “booking fee” be deducted from her rate if I do book her? What if I don’t? Will it be refunded?

This was three days ago.  I asked her if there were any other fees I should know about for this free verification and if this fee was recurring or anything, and she hasn't responded.

Has anyone ever encountered anything like this before?  Is it legit? Because, my Spidey sense is tingling...

These kind of scams have been around for a VERY long time and most likely in this post FOSTA/SESTA environment there are going to be more and more of them.

Here is a good rule of thumb, do not EVER even attempt to book with any provider using such a service. I hate painting with a such a broad brush as we all know how much trouble we get into when using such words as always, never, none etc, but this is one of those times that I feel 100% comfortable saying NEVER do this again, the chances are 99.9999999% that any such "service" is a scam.

The good news is, your CC has good fraud protection, the bad news is you will now need to remain vigilant that you won't be getting more attempts at charging your CC in the future from scammers that you have never heard of before after these people get done selling your name a thousand times.

...the site you found her on is skipthegames. Riiight that sounds on the up and up, yeeeaah, no, I don't think so.

I've never heard of Escortearth and as for skipthegames, I haven't heard anything good about that site.

I'd pass right on by that site and that provider. Listen to those spidey senses.

As far as  Chattanooga, there are a whopping 6 women on P411. If I were you, I'd see if one of the Atlanta ladies wanted to visit. I think they'd entertain an outcall to Chattanooga for a multi-hour appointment.

I will gladly waive the verification fee if you pay the exemption fee.

...especially since I've never paid any "fees" at all. Unless, you consider the honorarium a fee.

As an esteemed public servant, you recognize that if you can’t raise taxes, charge a fee instead. As the good senator also knows, the trick is to give it an important name and make it appear out of your control. Rather than verification fee, we should call it a Global Access Dialog Offset.

...however, I'm not really interested in any "dialog", so it's doubtful I would pay it.

The "ladies" always wanted you to sign up on a free "verification" site to make sure you're over 18 and to make them feel safe. When told them not providing CC info, they would then provide me with "their" CC info to use. Pretty hilarious especially since they thought I would actually use what they gave me. Can we say fraud. Lol.

All I get when I go to P411 is a login page for clients or providers. There’s no way to sign up any more, and no searxh function or anything.
