I re-established contact with my first girlfriend, via the Net, after several decades. We hit it off, and she decided to pay me a visit. She also informed me she was a provider. I was accepting, assisting her with her site & giving her some marketing ideas, but, as time went on, I became more uneasy not with the business, but with the way she conducted it (no security, partying hard w/clients, drinking driving, etc.). Basically she was just too Sagittarian for my Cancer ass. Have any hobbyists or providers encountered this scenario? How'd you do?

I ran into my first girl friend several years after we split up and she confessed to me that she was an escort.  I wasn't too surprised but she was floored to find out that I was a hobbyist.  Talk about interesting developments.

We dated a couple of times but then lost touch again.

The,"let's have a civee relationship"with a provider.
She was sweet when i meet her as a client,not so in the civee world!
She was a downright "bitch"!(mean)
Was in her life, to help out with a few things,,(not even so much as a peck on the cheek!!!)
Those who say it's all about the envelope,,are 100% right!

Now if you are talking about a friend who is a provider that  conducting her business unwisely, yes encountered this as well. My friend is now paying a very steep price for her carelessness. I tried to warn her yet she did not listen and is lost everything. All you can do is warn them as they as a human have the God given right to screw up their lives. I am trying to help my friend put her life back together but that will take time as her lack of concern for her security literally cost her everything. I know I am likely preaching to the choir but ladies please screen your gentleman, and gentlemen please screen your ladies. I am seeing some very sad stuff because of a friend of mine failure to do so.

Now if your talking about someone you dated turning out to be a provider, well, my wife turned out to be one without my knowledge. I accepted her choice and we're still together.

Can you go into a little more detail,as to what happen to your friend?(if not,i understand)

Things were fine till she moved in and got comfortable drinking til she passed out most days.  She kept most of this hidden from me for a while but it had been going on for quite sometime.  She had let her screening service lapse and was no longer being thorough when checking out clients.  Now she's on court supervision 18 months with a promise of a minimum 3 months in Jail should she be caught again, yet her behavior remains unchanged.  She been in the business for a while but has no idea how to run a business.  After 10 years she has ripped through her savings partying.  If I brought up savings she would mention how much money she could make if she really wanted to, referring to her income of her best year (10 years ago).   I'm pretty sure her thinking was pickled by this time.  As her beauty had already started to fade and as much as she hates what she does she has become more jaded.  She must drink to make it through a session.  At least she doesn't drive

It all comes down to, a need to fill a void.It doesn't matter what profession a person is in,people of all walks of life,self medicate!

As for my friend's problem I best remain quite. But I will say if she would have screened her clients the way I tried to teach her, she would not have the issues she has now. Saddest thing I have witnessed in years  is happening because she was careless and a bit stupid. When this is over I hope she stays out of this business as she just does not have the mentality it takes to do this the way it needs to be done to stay safe. Now she has lost everything and I am trying to help her but there is only so much I can do as money can't fix this.  Everyone needs to screen everyone in this hobby or your gambling everything, and I do mean everything.
