TER General Board

My .02 cents

First off - I welcome TER adm to chime in on this post and the discussion that may follow.

I think it is obvious that it is far easier for a provider to delist from TER than it was it was in the past.  As a consequence, I have noted a number of reviews of newer providers that have been posted (since TER has returned) only to be taken down within a couple of days.  As a general observation (to me), most of these providers are those who post on Tryst or Twitter (maybe Eros as well).

Now it seems that a large number of new reviews (that remain here) are agency ladies or ladies who promote themselves on massage / bodyrub / adultsearch / or "escortfish" type sites.  I know nothing of these sites and have no opinion of them but it seems that most have said that when TER was down, they followed Tryst or Twitter to potentially meet someone new.  Seems there is a mismatch here and that the new delisting policy is working in direct conflict to what the TER site is intended to be in the first place.

Personally I do not think it should be automatic for a provider to delist from his / her profile.  I certainly respect a provider's privacy but the same provider considers themselves to be an independent business person.  And like any other business, a consumer's opinion should be valid whether or not the opinion is good or bad.  It is foolish to think that any business can tell its customers "don't talk about us when you leave."

Do others see it this way as well?  Stay safe.  [And yeah before I get flamed for using an alias to post this message, that should not mean anything here.  I am just looking to provoke some good conversation.]

As I have advised countless providers over the years who wanted off this site, all you have to do is initiate a "no review" policy, post it on your ads/website and then alert TER to the fact that you no longer allow reviews and POOF, your reviews will be gone and you will be delisted in no time.

I do happen to agree with you that rip offs and women with bad reviews should be able to simply delist in order to hide their bad actions, no more than a lousy restaurant can "de-list" from Yelp, but being able to de-list easily is not something new around here.

When TER went dark there seemed to be an influx of newbie girls with lousy service on Twatter and places I can't mention that had pretty pictures and a starting rate of 8-900 bucks. No reliable reviews. With TER back (and as long as we have the juicy details), their little game is up.

If I look at an ad for a girl I want to see , the first thing I think is "Where are TER reviews?

I don't have an opinion on this.  Have heard some say that it should be very easy for a lady to delist for safety reasons and such.  Others argue that ladies should not have a say at all - similar to the way review sites work in the real world.  Some say that guys should be able to write whatever they want in reviews and none should be taken down - similar to the way blacklist sites work for ladies (there is a much greater percentage of BS blacklists than BS reviews).  They contend that some BS reviews will exist but most guys are smart enough to see through them just like many BS blacklists exist for decent guys, which ladies can hopefully put in proper context and see through.  Then again, maybe the safety concerns should trump everything and therefore having a liberal/easy delisting policy makes sense?  There can also be psychological impacts with some of the reviews that are inappropriate.

I agree with your thoughts.  For me, if a provider has a published "do not review" policy or if the provider indicates that he or she does not want to be reviewed (in person or through correspondence), then any review would be inappropriate.  Other than that, nothing should be absolute but I think reviews should stand with safety issues being evaluated (by TER adm) on a case by case basis.  I also think providers should have a say in any inappropriate review (maybe the ability to comment on the review?) but the review should remain in some fashion.  Every review contains info. that makes the next encounter a better experience for all even if the right answer is not to set the date in the first place.  Stay safe.

I think its good to give providers the option to delist and have a no review policy.

I for one, will not date a provider if she has no reviews. If you really need a review, there are other sites that don't have the same policy and you can get a sense of the girl that way. New providers trying to break into the business will have a hard time without reviews.

What I find interesting is that how much of a business this is, in fact an industry; marketing, sales, promotion, financial management, etc. I truly believe the successful women in this industry would be great business owners in any field. Its a lot more than sexy pictures and spread your legs.
