Can hobbyists spot another hobbyist?

I think I have met some in my line of work:

They know the location of every hotel around.

They eye ATM machines wistfully.

You hear them having conversations on their cell phones about having to work late, but they are out the door at 5.

They are always very well dressed and groomed.

The smile a lot.

Guys, have you noticed?

from a long lunch, but pull out a protein bar, from their desk draw, immediately on their return

When ever they see the letters BBB they smile with intense pleasure. BBB(Better Business Bureau)

I ran into a former co-worker at a hotel loby. I hjad not seen him in about 5 years. I was there for a seminar, he was hanging around the loby looking nervous. He spoted me and came over and said "what are you doing here" I told him and said "what are you doing here". He laughed and smiled and tried to make up some excuse but we both knew what he was doing. He got a text message and was off on his merry way with a spring in his step.

Talking on the phone a while back with one of my lady friends when a guy I've known a long time walked up and heard part of it.

Without getting into too much detail, he always wanted to get into the hobby but didn't know how.

Told him to get verified on P411 then we'll talk.

He did and then I hooked him up with a fav of mine.

He's been happily hobbying ever since.
