Most People Don't Realize

I recently got together with a lady who is now retired.  We were discussing the things that she used to do for the guys and all the behind-the-scenes efforts that she went through to see to it that the clients had a good time.  I was dumbfounded!

This lady was a real class act when she was in the biz and her minimum 2 hour dates were, as I recall, something like $650.  She said that she really wanted to discourage the one hour thing and that her average was more like a 3 hour date with quite a few dinner dates and over nighters. I thought she always looked great. But wow, at what a cost.

She started with the cost of the cosmetics that she used daily and that she never went from one client to another without a thorough scrubbing and re-application of the make-up.  Then the nails: done weekly, as was the hair.  One thing I was shocked to learn was that she made a detailed record of what she wore and saw to it that no client saw her in the same lingerie or street clothes more than once.  Including the shoes!  Add to this the condoms and lubes and toys and visits to the Doctor.  And candles and music and hotel rooms for incalls.

She was spending a whopping $4000 minimum a month in maintenance!

I have renewed respect for the providers who pay attention to detail.  Now I know a different side of the rate issue.

Ladies, how common is this?  The gents need to appreciate your efforts.

With only one or two exceptions, the ladies I have seen have always been freshly bathed and immaculately prepared for me.  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Dolls!!!

I believe it helps to avoid the rush times, stay away from (most) agencies and use TER's Fictional Stories to plan your fantasy rendevous.

A point of order here - Guys need to be equally meticulous about hygeine.  It's OK to be ugly and have a little dick, showing up dirty and expecting intimate contact is inexcusable....

FWIW, I know ladies who get their hair and nails done weekly just because they like it. They also go to the gym regularly and are always buying new clothes and shoes. They're not providers.

Being a provider with a good income may just make it easier to afford. It's not clear to me that they only take such care of themselves because they are escorts and wouldn't if they had alrernative lives.

Is anyone else concerned about this "detailed record" of clients, assertedly so that the provider doesn't wear the same thing twice?  Please; I will risk seeing you in the same camisole twice; make no record of our liason!

but it seems that they want special credit for doing the normal things any woman would do (nails, hair, gym, shopping, etc.). Ladies, most of the non-provider women I know do these things anyway, so it seems like a real stretch to include basic personal upkeep in the "cost of providing service" category.

Speaking for my self only.....I think that if I was not in this biz I would still do all the things that make me feel good about how I look and feel. However the fact that I am in this biz it is always on my mind if I break a nail I do not wait until I have time to get a manicure, I make time, it is important in any biz that you are in that you look put together and polished always. I find it hard to believe when a client comments on how pretty my feet are, or how soft my skin is? I just assume that all women skin is soft and that they take care of their feet, to my suprise this is not always true.

Interesting point, Pat.  My wife gets her nails done weekly, puts fresh makeup on regulary, etc., and does it for both of us.  She's considerably more expensive, however, than the providers I see (though certainly worth it!!!).

(She reads TER too!).

Hey what can I say? Being a pretty woman is not easy!!! hehe
Especially a provider at that! We have lots of cost.
I am the same way. I dont want to be seen wearing the same thing more than once or shoes. So I shop a lot. I have nails and pedicures done every nine days. Massage and skin care every month. Hair sone ever 5 weeks. And so on and so forth. Always shower and make sure that I am very very clean to be pleasurable with and work out with a trainer often to keep that body in outstanding shape.
Not just because I am a provider but because I take personla prode on my beauty and health. Every one should. The sad thing is, I dont think Ill ever find a man that can afford me if I wanted to settle down and stop what I am doing now. Oh well!

It is true that it takes alot to keep up with your body, your incall/outcall locations, supplies, etc., etc., etc....Although I haven't gotten to the point of a few ladies, I know how much they spend.  The more upscale/expensive the provider gets, the more she is apt to spend to keep up her body and everything else to ensure her clientele has the best experience ever.  I know several providers who get routine micro-facials, Endermologie, facial peels, body treatments, work with a personal trainer, spend thousands of dollars on lingerie(not Frederick's-which is fine!!;-), but Cosabella, La Perla, etc...I mean, I know that I don't have an eighth of the wardrobe that most do; (I haven't gotten to that point, but would love to!!)  But I do know I only use certain products for my skin, hair, face, and all that goes inside my body-what I eat, drink, etc...When you think about it, our bodies go through the gamut...Without the expenses we incur to keep ourselves in excellent condition, we have to spend....And records...well...I'm pretty positive that the only ones we keep are receipts...After all, we are businesswomen....

Play Safe!!

What is amazing is that most people don't realize the true cost of doing business.  Unless you own your own business, most people take for granted the expenses that are incurred.  I am a small business owner and spend many hours per week on the business aspects, during which time I am not making money.

I can say that I am sucessful for several reasons.  I make a decent living (could probably make more working for a large firm), enjoy what I do (this I feel is the most important thing), and don't have to put up with a shitty boss (too stuborn to follow orders).

The down side is I have to put up with whinning, crying, unproductive employees (most are good but there always has to be one)and bad clients (most are good, but there are always some pushing the limits or wanting something for nothing).

What I am trying to say that running a business is expensive and most people don't understand all the hidden costs, regardless of the type of business.  But we are thankful that there are certain types of entrepreneurs that provide services that us men crave so dearly.  We love you and keep the supply coming, there is a big demand.  And no, I am not an accountant or economist, just a business owner (engineering).

I do agree with you Girlcrazy. It is a pitfall. But, what I do is, I say okay, if I made 10k this month I am going to put away 8 and spend 2 and that means spending 2 on me and things that I need like mentioned. My bills are always paid. Credit cards hold no balances. I still make sure I save almost all of it and I am investing so that I have it and it grows. Its not all about looks but looks and keeping yourself healthy play a big role in almost anyones life...
Thanks for reposting the link. :D
