A Chicago-area prostitute allegedly carjacked her client at gunpoint before leading Chicago cops on a high-speed chase, crashing into another vehicle, and fleeing the scene on foot.
.
...was out on pretrial release in connection to another car theft while allegedly committing more crimes but missed her court dates.
.
...knew her latest alleged victim from prostitution “solicitations prior to this incident.”
.
“Chicago police officers found the hijacked SUV, but she allegedly sped onto a highway as the man in her passenger seat tossed a pistol from the vehicle,” the local public safety outlet reported. “The cops terminated the pursuit due to ‘extreme danger’ and recovered the handgun, prosecutors said.”
.
After several hours, CPD cops again spotted her in the victim’s vehicle.
.
In their detention petition, prosecutors wrote that the sex worker sped away from police “in excess of 100mph.”
.
After eventually crashing into another car — and injuring its 24-year-old driver — a police helicopter spotted her and her male passenger run into a nearby building. Cops arrested them there.
.
The alleged carjacker has been charged with armed robbery with a firearm, aggravated possession of a stolen motor vehicle, three counts of aggravated fleeing, leaving the scene of an accident involving injury, and aggravated reckless driving.
.
Her passenger, later identified as a 22-year-old man, was also hit with misdemeanor charges for criminal trespassing to a vehicle.

Correct.  I just copied the story and replaced her name with a pronoun. (I didn't know what a pronoun was until the woke thing.  So I have that.)   Posting a link that has the identities of people involved in prostitution is against TER rules.

Which is kind of stupid since it's all public information.

can all be combined under the pronoun "it".   (Okay, haters, I'm ready for you.   Lol)

I feel like the client is gonna give her some really low review scores.

"Her dominant side came out."  "She got my heart racing." "She left me completely spent."  "I was a regular, but she still managed to surprise me."

She didn’t make the TER Top 100 list.

The problem in America is that  the big corporate media only show you what 'THEY' want you to see.But there are more dangerous criminals out there ,that they don't want to focus on,because that would be  againt  their motive.

...instead of the accused. Seems to me that the line of work of the person is more important to the story to the author and the publication. Yes, her victim in this case seems to be a client, but she has a history of burglary and GTA in the past. The lede, "a prostitute..." is a way to demonize the entire profession and women in general.  Or, I am i reading too much into it?

I think it's a little of demonizing the profession.

But, I think it's more about leading with sex.  As the old saying goes, "Sex sells".

There are worst criminals out there than the big fake media showing you.
For example ,should  edgefund managers be investigated half of them would be in jail. But it won't happen because we live in a color coded legalized corrupt society, where  you can buy people under the guise of 'DONOR'.

Well shit this escalated quickly.

I will say that I don't really subscribe to any "big fake media".

Because thousands of  worst crimes are committed daily  across America that  are kept away from getting highlighted and it's done intentionally . Hundreads of people are literally dropping  dead from opioids, but you don't see that making the news.

While I'll agree that news these days is more about selling the "paper" and to some extent pushing the agenda (but that has pretty much been the case for centuries), have you not paid any attention to the news about the opoid fines and suits? It's not like the media is just not paying attention to that (or worse, trying to sweep it under the carpet as is were).

I'm pretty sure I saw at least one news article about this within the past 2 weeks.

As jaded as I am, I didn't expect this amusing little story to turn into a crying session about weltschmerz.
