It's no coincident that this "human trafficking" fad came into just about when the war on drug is fizzling out in EPIC FAIL.
The law-enforcement as well as the NGO industrial complex needed another excuse to rip off the taxpayers and feed their pie holes. Make no mistake and don't be a sheeple this whole "trafficking" is nothing but a sham designed by Big Brother to brainwash the weak-minded and ignorant hobbyists into fear, confusion, shame, self-guilt... as if there is something wrong with our beloved hobby. They can stick their "trafficking" BS sham up theirs!Although published local to Boston, I thought this might be of General interest.

"EDITOR’S NOTE: This is the first in a series of stories exploring human trafficking in Massachusetts. The series will delve into the widespread commercial sex trade in our cities and suburbs, the online marketplaces where pimps and johns buy and sell sex, cases of modern-day slavery and victims’ tales of survival."

I have heard enough about so called human trafficking to last me several lifetimes.
It seriously reminds me of the "war on drugs" It's a war on our own otherwise law abiding citizens that occasionally scoops up a couple of actual bad guys in the process and should be condemned for what it is, not given free publicity on a site mainly comprised of the major victims of this war against consenting adults.
Human trafficking should not be taken lightly. All should applaud tougher laws against humanity trafficking. I do not consider tough laws against human trafficking a so called "war against consenting adults" equivalent to the "war on drugs". I personally have a beef with child trafficking and child molesters. These fucking guys get off way to fucking easy. The current punishment for human trafficking, child trafficking and child molestation does not fit the crime.
Treating consensual adult sex as "human trafficking" has the effect that you say you are against -- taking actual Human Trafficking lightly, trivializing it. So you should oppose the sensationalized garbage reporting, and promote careful distinctions between Human Trafficking and ordinary Commercial Sex, and not cheer the careless and clueless who conflate them.
I don't think I've ever known anyone, including women who have had them or doctors who perform them, who wants more abortions to happen. Rational people look at what actually decreases the rate of abortion and say let's do more of that. Things like comprehensive, reality-based sex education, easy and affordable access to contraception, better education generally and more equal opportunities for women. But the loudest "anti-abortion" people usually are dead set against the first two and not all that supportive of the last two. Instead they go for the one simple-minded option that satisfies the "stamp it out" instinct but actually does nothing to reduce what they want to stamp out, plus makes the problem worse by forcing women with fewer resources into dangerous situations.
That's where we are with sex trafficking.
First of all let me say that even though I am so sick of these stories I appreciate the OP calling attention to the article. What I've noticed is that this type of stuff just scares MOST people and makes people "feel bad".....
I'm sex positive as are most people on this site. I use articles like this as a "heads up" that a certain location may not be a good idea to visit or may require some serious effort to avoid drawing attention to myself for fear of an interaction with my least favorite type of guy: a guy with a badge. So the message that the author meant to convey was totally ignored by me because I'm not MOST people.
This may be my first rant on this site... and it felt kinda good!

LE has to justify their budgets and even their existence, which grew under the war on drugs myth. That was the biggest con game ever and the American people just open their mouths and swallowed. Now it's human trafficking and the opioid - epidemic "myth." It's total BS, but nobody is questioning their "facts". Just look at the reefer madness posters from the 30's. People believed that nonsense. What nonsense are they selling us today?
Yep, just as it was no coincidence that every state prohibited marijuana by the 1930s and the federal law came along in 1937 ... just a few years after the end of Prohibition.
