Not to restart the whole political discussion which doesn't belong here anyway but I thought you might like this excerpt from a poem that was posted on slate.  See link for complete poem.

Did the French really develop this style of kissing? Would be curious to learn its origin. Same with the other oral delights that we enjoy...

The link below explains how the age old rivalry between France and England finds its expression in their respective idioms.  Essentially the Brits of old considered that type of kissing to be dirty and immoral and hence attributed it to the French.

I find it inconceivable that the French developed that type of kissing or the other oral delights we enjoy given that Greek and Roman civilizations came first (no pun intended).  Can you imagine a Roman orgy without French kissing or BBBJ?
