END OF MESSAGE

Anyone ever seen the foreign film called A Call Girl?

Happened to watch it last night and it sort of spooked me. She is a young Slovenian girl putting herself through college while living a double-life.

During one of her outcalls, a client has a heart attack from taking viagra and dies. If this isn't bad enough, she then gets setup by two pimps. They dangle her over a terrace of a highrise threatening to kill her if she refuses to work for them. The entire film, she is living in fear. You can find it on Netflix.

My question...I wonder how common it is for females to be coerced by either pimps or madams into working for them. What do you think?

Get a studio on the N side of the city and charge at least 300, make a legit site, do some simple screening or employment and you will be fine.

I am willing to bet..

There are as many of us.. Non coerced ladies who make the decision all on our own as their are the innocent ladies who get caught up in something that they were totally unprepared for.

It is sad to me that the only thing you ever hear about is those that are forced or talked into the adult industry..

11 minutes is an amazing book that everyone should read..Stimulates the mind and really makes you think..

One of the best books I've ever read. Should be turned into a film. I read Paulo Coelho was compelled to write the book after discovering the life that some Brazilian women were living after being deceived and coerced into prostitution.

I also enjoyed Veronika Wants to Die.

Dear Shiloh:
It is extremely common. Especially in Eastern Europe as well as third world countries where they would not have as many options or be as well educated.

Madams get girls jobs, I never heard of one using coercion. In London my older friends used to have madams who set them up to make lots of money with men they'd never otherwise meet. The madams were middle men.

Pimps are different - usually some slimey-assed guy who lives off a weak woman/women, and may or may not use violence in his coercion.

You are right. In the UK a Madam can be a sweet old lady, clean as a whistle who really just helps girls and it's a great setup for everyone involved...But in my experience, here in the US a Madam is mostly just a female pimp. Sometimes she is  just a front for the pimp who really runs the show. She gets you in the door, gets you comfortable with the idea of getting into the business temporarily and making lots of money, then the pimp takes over and we all know it goes downhill from there. We live in a country where there are very few real Madams left.
(Btw, it's not a post against you, just my rant that fit well here, I think. lol)

Dear TamaraG:
Would it be accurate to say that these madams used to work with a tier of client that is much better than the class of client that the currently working girl is seeing? Also would it be girls who wouldn't know how to market themselves on that scale or girls who haven't had that much exposure and who are in the seminal stages of their careers?
