Smarty can attest to this. There used to be literally hundreds of women on any given night that would frequent bars like the Key Largo in San Jose. There were women who had day jobs, but would go out on the weekends, find some gringo that they liked, and fuck him in return for more money than they made all week at their "real job".

Talk about GFE, these girls would rock your world and in many cases payment was optional. The only problem about not paying was that instead of a GFE you were liable to end up with a real "novia", complete with expectations of monogamy. lol

I suspect the real differences are cultural. The early settlers frowned upon sexual prowess for many reasons and that this strand of thoughts persists today should not be shocking. Americans are sadly long time purveyors of this good vs. evil shit. The "half-hooker" phenom is as old as gathering places where r men and women were allowed. That it's being bandied about today is a way to sell newspapers and advertising space in the wake of recent sexcapades of a governor and a golfer. I assure you, there's a good number of people that don't follow this line of thinking, but bottle girls and club vamps are selling themselves nonetheless. That people don't think of it as prostitution is actually kind of funny. There has always and will likely be a pussy economy. Eshew labels and roll with the times.

At least 60 years ago, Richard Rodgers wrote a song, "Sing for your supper...and you'll get breakfast."  Now, what do you suppose that was all about?  It was revived and made popular again by The Mamas and the Papas in the 60s.  Remember them?  Some things don't change all that much...

On my stay in Eastern Europe, I got friendly with a group of 3 or 4 girls hanging in the bar in the hotel lobby . They did not advertise themselves as such, but I found out during the course of the evening that I could fuck one of them for a 100 bucks. I also wanted to do her friend on the second night, but she did not want to, so I ended up doing the first chick the second time.
