Girls: How would you feel if you were exposed as a sex pro?
There was a time when I would panic at the mere thought, but nowadays I think it would be a relief.....I feel proud of myself, for being financially independent rather than stuck in a miserable low paying job or even worse, stuck with an awful husband.....I think it would be great to one day just be able to proudly say: "Yeah, as a matter of fact I am a sex pro,so what? I'm doing society a big favour, being given money/compliments/orgasms all the time, and I do not whine about being broke or dateless!" Any thoughts?

Unlike in Canada, prostitution is illegal in most of the US. I thank heavens every day for my favorite ladies and I don't think any of them are embarrassed by what they do but being outed in the US can have some fairly nasty legal ramifications.
Same here Selina !!
Everyone in my real life knows what i do...
They always have-
Many girls get found out- freak- then realize its a blessing afterwards.. No more stress- living a double life is half the struggle of what we do -
Your neighbor in the other Great White North of Buffalo NY!!
Exposed to whom? Friends and family? My friends and family all know so no worries there. Neighbors and such? No way. I could only see that leading to trouble. You know, the hands behind your back, watch your head as you get into the back seat kind of trouble.
Your a hottie though , god bless you for doing it. I don't know why you girls do, but thanks!![]()

Same thing here.
My family (what's left of it) would never talk to me again.
When word got out to my friends, they refused to have anything to do with me.
I'm with you Salina and Ciara! My family and friends know what I do and I am proud to help bring sexual joy to others. I feel that the body has a wisdom and intelligence with deeper knowledge than the mind. Our heart beats naturally, our blood flows, and we don't have to keep reminding ourselves to breathe. When we are hungry, we eat. When we are horny, hopefully we honor that feeling as well and satisfy ourselves either through masturbation or in consensual union with another. Sex is a need just as eating and breathing. There is a great book titled "Reclaiming Eros" that was presented at an ASEP (Association for Sexual Energy Professionals) Conference. It can be ordered through www.reclaimingeros.com. The book gave me a better understanding of the importance of our work as "sexworkers", however we each define that for ourselves and deeper compassion for my clients. Also, somehow, after reading the book, I'm more accepting in the moment to whatever wants to show up during a session. Sometimes the session is slow and loving and at other times the fire is so hot I feel I'm going to explode. Either way, I'm definitely experiencing my body and the pleasures of it!
There is a message on every Yoga Tea bag that I drink. My favorite is "We are energetic spiritual beings having a human experience"
Why would we be born into physical form if not to enjoy the wonderful sensations of the body? It keeps me feeling juicy and alive and I'm so thankful!
My best to all on your journey of exploration!
Happy Holidays!
xoxo

I lost my entire family, many friends (who I simply had to "disappear from") and my entire way of life.
It happens.
I can't honestly say that if I had it to do all over again I wouldn't have made the same choices.
My response is the same as yours, SensualSelina. When I first started, I used to stress about people finding out, but the longer I do it, the less concerned I truly am. I still hide/blur my face for privacy/discretion, but if anyone ever asks, I won't deny.
In fact, I have been recognized and I just asked the guy why was he looking at escorts himself?
...you go, girl.
friends, YES they all know (and many of them work now or have worked in the past.) neighbors and such, NO they don't KNOW and they better never find out! as far as family, my mom knows and though i initially regretted telling her, our relationship is now much better than it's ever been.
i feel absolutly NO shame in my game, but i refuse to subject myself to other people's puritanical sexual views. people like my neighbors are hard enough to deal with after an afternoon of beer drinking, no need to add fuel the proverbial fire!

I really wouldnt mind...actually, it would make me feel much better...maybe one day someone will put a review up here for me
while i certainly don't feel there's any shame in being a provider, being completely outed would potentially lead to nasty legal ramifications as well as a shattered reputation (for my family, not me) in my community. but my situation is not really that of the typical "working girl"...i'm happily married, doing this with my Husband's knowledge, support and assistance, provide primarily out of our home, and we have an underaged child living here with us. if neighbors or my stepkid's mother ever found out about what i do, we'd lose custody.
so i need to stay in the closet, which doesn't really feel that way as nothing is hidden or secret from the one who matters most to me, or our close friends.
