get nominated?

Personally I would be honored to one day be Miss Ter.  
is there a voting or nomination process?

For the most part Miss TER is selected on the basis of participation on a combination of your local or touring board, the general, and photo board. Of course it helps to be attractive and your photos show that.
On at least one occasion they have asked for recommendations on the reviewers board.
Do not in any way need to be number one on the top 100 board.

I hate nominations, popularity contests I hate all of that.  

I see your pics you're very pretty. You can be Miss TER in our hearts everyday.  

Back to topic...
who needs to be nominated, sounds like dominated. Nominated, selected, coronated, nah.  
But they do give a prize, right? To the winning girl they pay some?  
OK then it's OK to participate and make yourself win.
