New Year's resolutions are a joke. Suddenly people decide they are going to start doing something that they don't really want to do (because if they truly did they would have already been doing it). It makes no sense.

There is no 'starting over' at the beginning of the new year. The previous years don't dissappear just because you buy a new calendar - you don't change, and these silly self-imposed promises to do this or that hold no more weight than any other time of year.

People think they can force themselves to change into something that they perceive as better, but they can't; not when the only premise for doing so is this farce about new beginnings at the new year.

I stay on point all year round - no holidays required to take action. And those area's where I'm lacking, and content to do so - I simply accept as my faults and let the world collectively kiss my ass if they don't like it.

Good luck with your working out - sincerely.  But don't think you can accomplish your goals by bribing yourself via dangling pussy in front of your face like a rabbit in front of a greyhound at the track. You will not succeed unless you really want to acheive that success for no other reason - and with out any more incentive - than the satisfaction of accomplishing the feat itself... you have to want it BAD.

What are you all doing to try and keep your New Year's resolutions?  Working out is mine for this year and I'm going to use the hobby to keep it up.  If I work out the entire week without missing a day, I get to see a hot lady and if I miss a day for any reason I have to abstain.  I'm really going to try to be honest with this "deal" I've made with myself.

How about you guys/ladies?

That's the way it is for me, too.  But if they work for someone else, fine.  To each his own and good luck!

... are though I like my size and shape just fine I realize I could be more toned and fit. So red meat has to go and i'm weaning off fried foods. It's probably bad most of my friends are skinny people who don't need to workout AND DON'T lol so I need to find someone who will go to a local gym or something at the very least twice a week to start. OH and since i've been so spoiled with being driven around or taking a taxi wherever I want to go I need to learn to drive by June.
