Isn't it annoying as hell when the subject line is the beginning of the first sentence of the message body, but then the poster starts the sentence over again in the message

I've been meaning to point out that a large proportion of your posts only are in the subject line, with no message inside.  And when you do that you rarely put an (eom) after it, so people end up clicking to read the post and find nothing there.  I, for one, would love you even more if you corrected that.

My pet peeve is when I put EOM. But it still gets views!
It happens to every EOM! Especially providers...
For some reason that annoys the shit out of me.
You think eventually they would figure it out, but no.

I should talk though. It took me almost 3 weeks to understand what the tree view is.
I thought they were talking about a scenic overlook

I do the same thing...it makes following a thread easier.

But even your old pappy does that sometimes.  He is anal retentive and likes to see the entire thread in orange, with no blue stuff.  That way he can scroll through older threads more quickly.  So you see, there is method to Dad's madness!  I am sure you are a chip off the old block!

And for good reason. Some people put hidden messages inside of EOM posts. Scoed used to put some really hot pictures inside his EOMs.

Another reason is when I click on a post, it turns red. When I go look at the thread later, I know with a quick glance which posts are new to the thread since I last checked.
