In my many years of hobbying, I've had very few negative experiences. One thing I've never done is paid a deposit. Even when the provider requires one, I go through the process and let her know I won't be paying ahead of time. I've been whitelisted a dozen times and I have rarely had trouble with getting references lined up in time. As a result, every time the provider has agreed to forego the deposit.
Except once. And this one was painful because she's a girl I've really wanted to see. Checks all of my boxes and looks like a very sweet person. While I'm pretty certain she's for real given her Twitter presence, she does not have any reviews. But bottom line is I'm just not willing pay ahead of time. I've had to do a late cancellation only once on all these years and I actually sucked it up and paid the fee.
Anyway here's my request: DON'T PAY DEPOSITS! If everyone refuses to do it, then deposits will fade away and we can go back to securing appointments based on well-earned reputations.
Refusing to pay a deposit -- which, like you, I have never done -- won't make them go away. So it will remain our prerogative to simply not see girls who insist on them.
I have never asked for or considered asking for a deposit though it has been offered on occasion and I have declined. To me personally it appears to be a rabbit hole. I have watched the repeated drama on here going back to far to remember re the failure and issues surrounding the deposits and alleged misapropriation thereof. I just don't need the stress of dealing with issues that will certainly arise should an appointment result in cancellation or no-show by either party, I like what I do and I would like to keep it that way. No thanks, I am very thorough with getting to know a Prospect and making an assessment on reliability and sincerity. My judgement rarely fails me and I am good with that.
On the other hand I certainly understand particularly for those among us who are travelling these days that a deposit which may become a cancellation fee certainly would be of benefit to offsetting the cost of a venue out of pocket as a result of a NS. One of the reasons I quit travelling a few years ago was tht razors edge of will he won't be....... sonofabitch he did. Everyone has different boundaries and necessities and they should be respected or go find another lady. Ladies that have these policies and then do not enforce them are doing themselves and others no good at all. If I had a Prospect beat me up on my deposit policy to me that would be akin to negotiating my rates, seriously call someone else please.

While I hate seeing the NBA policy, I did in my earlier less jaded days of mongering reach out to a select few providers who had NBA policies and ask "can an exception be made?" It did work a few times, now I just say fuck em and move on as soon as I see it.
Which makes me think about challenging some of these new deposit requirements just to test the waters.......nah, not worth it.
Several years ago there was a hot Asian girl who worked for an agency in Dallas, a "regular" agency not a K-Girl agency who had a "Caucasian only" policy which apparently extended to Blacks, Latinos, AND Asians as well. I can only imagine how pissed off black guys get when confronted with "NBA" Policies. I know it's easy to say "we wouldn't have been a good fit anyhow" and I completely agree it's better to simply say "fuck em" and move on, but I can't imagine that at least on some level it's got to piss you off.
This past November I had scheduled with five providers who were touring. I only met with one of them, the others canceled. Three of the four who canceled required deposits when I scheduled them. Two of the ladies immediately refunded my deposits when they canceled. The third said she would hold on to my deposit until March, when she is planning on going to Nashville, and she has rescheduled me for then. If she doesn’t cancel again I don’t have a problem with this.

in my 20+ years of hobbying ... twice i sent $ to girls i had seen many times before when they contacted me begging to help them out .. the agreement being these will be deposits for our next time together .. they agree.
when the time comes, "oh that was a gift" i still have to pay to see them again.
i say deposits only make sense if you are pre booking for longer than an overnight. besides if you book and then cancel at the last minute i can assure you that you will get blacklisted on the ladies only websites. i canceled one lady 24 hours in advance for a 1 hour date and she attempted to smear my name on the ladies site. so I think the hobby polices itself and thus no need for deposits.

A well known PS will be visiting this month as has asked for a deposit now to confirm and schedule me. I trust her and she has great reviews. My only fear is if something comes up and cannot make it in 3 weeks. I guess the longer I wait I risk losing the time slot and maybe angering her by dragging my feet.

Early in my hobbying career, an alleged provider extracted a deposit of several hundred from me and promptly ghosted. Ever since, I have never agreed to a deposit again, except in the occasional instances when I have been a participant in group encounters and the hostess needed some advance cash to book the space and make other arrangements -- and then only if I already know her.
Foolish me. I got ripped off twice in the last week with the deposit scam. Last week (embarrassed to tell y'all) I saw an enticing prospect who requested a deposit. Turns out the agency guy was high as a fucking kite and and had posted the listing city in the wrong state (same city name). Asked for CashApp, sent it, didn't go through, gave me another email, sent it, didn't go through. Third time apparently worked. When that was done was sent the address in a city 1800 miles away.
Deposit was pending on my CashApp for 2 days. I requested a stop and cancel with CashApp, which did not honor it. So I ended up paying double the deposit. I requested a refund from the payee and never heard back.
CashApp is fucking useless. Their only reply is you have to be careful about who you send it to.
Lessons learned: NEVER send a deposit. NEVER send any money on CashApp.
That's why I will never trust adds requesting deposits with cashapps or ebay cards. The add usually appears in multiple cities at the same time . The price is reasonable, and the girl is hot. The so called provider will answer your first text swiftly, and they always have the same , damn, lame excuse on why they can't accept cash.; security , been ripped off, too much counterfeit money, and they want to know you are real and faithful. Sometimes the provider in the add is present to send a verification selfie to reel you in.
Thru all the texting , you are probably communicating with a fairly educated goon/cockroach.; it even might be the girl in the photo. You will never meet her she will disappear once she/he gets your money.
