I just got the most interesting PM. The person who asked me to white list without meeting them told me I lack discretion. Now I neither mentioned their name, nor their exact words. So frankly I see no discretion issue:

Bad behavior is unfortunately a fact of life. Hobbyist will try to bully the ladies with threats of bad reviews, and certain ladies will try to threaten hobbyists with blacklisting. It's a shame, but it is a reality.
The good news is that if you have a history of good reviews, a single hobbyist can't cause you too much grief. It doesn't excuse his behavior, but I am willing to bet that you have already shared his name with your local sisterhood, and rightly so.
I'm not so much interested in this particular man actually.

He made it sound like it's common for women to be harassed when men are displeased. Is this true? I'm rather new to the board, and have heard it can be unkind, but this is the first truly questionable behaviour I've run into.

That's the best I can think of. I know one guy that sent those type of PM's to a provider, & he was moderated for a month, lost his posting & PM privileges. Give it a try, if he was really that threatening.
It seems like someone is a drama queen and everytime something gets emailed to her, she feels the need to ask questions about it and act all threatened. There was no reason to start a new topic, you could have just put a comment on the old topic you linked to..

Giving a whitelist is special as far as i'm concerned. When I do that i'm saying in my eyes this man is very trustworthy. I'm putting my name on the line here by doing that.
I would never give a whitelist to a man I have never spent private time with. Even more than that usually it takes a few visits for me to be that comfortable with someone.
Do not know their boundaries in real life or in the fantasy life. They do stupid things, have larger ego's, are self important, don't give crap about others, would walk all over you, if you allow them and indestructible in their little minds.

Hobbyist in question is pissed because he thought his PM (private mail), was private. While you did not betray him by posting his handle, he now regrets that you are probably sharing it with everyone who asks. Now, you start a new thread as to what you perceived as a threat after he already admonished you about excerpting from his PM. You again posted information that he entrusted to you. It is clear that you did not break any TER rules by doing this, but as a hobbyist, I would never trust you with mail or PM's let alone book you.
To translate for BBBJDTCIMWSNQNS. He is trying to save you from yourself by telling you that you are being a Drama Queen by starting another thread, and yes. You should have taken it to the PO Board.
Final translation. You can not only throw a mangina under a bus but you can put it in reverse and run over him a few more times. He will book you for a session when he recovers.
By going public is will give pause to others who might think about pulling the same thing, and furthermore, she did the right thing by exposing the attempted extortion and reporting it to TER. This will give hope to other providers who are similarly threatened. I would hope they would ban or at least suspend the offenders membership.
The White List may not be a gold standard, but there's no reason to let it descend into a farce either.

Yep we sure do. I have a very bad review on another board because I dared to refuse to see a guy for a second time because I just didn't want to see him again. I have a right to make that choice. But he went ballistic, and wrote a bad review on me in retaliation. I found out later, that several other providers had the same experience, and also refused to see him for second visits. When I refused, then it must have been the final straw for him.
And posting this on the Provider's Only board would have served no purpose in telling all of us something we already know!
Lauren did the right thing because she is doing the most she can to keep herself safe by exposing the threats of this person. The very same principle as flicking on the lights and the cockroaches scurry away. Now if she were on here everyday posting something of this nature, then that would be a drama queen. But she is neither.

I feel that Lauren has acted responsibility to bring this into the light. She has not posted his member name. There is no defense in PMs when it involves a request to break the rules. TER requirements state someone you can "personally vouch" for. Some guy who e-mails who you've never met? Not concluded a successful meeting with? Not even screened? How about some vice cop?

Yes, gentlemen, as a matter of fact I am low volume. I prefer it that way. Just ask the local guys who complain about how difficult it is to see me. Sad to see how this topic was taken out of context and used for attacking purposes. There is never a good reason to attack a provider, and there have been some insults thrown each way by hobbyist and providers at each other.
I am suprised the moderators have not CLOSED this topic at this point or at least deleted it or merged it with the other topic. Some of you posters may be on the discussions boards for far too long that there is animosity developed between both parties at this point.

I've had to ask EVERY TIME in order to get WL'd from ladies I saw multiple times. Yet, I see these same ladies WL other guys after they post reviews that state it was their first time meeting her. From my perspective, zero credibility...all politics. And there are times where this will be key...
