Gentlemen tell me.. What was so hot about her..
Is it the curves? Was it the mystery... I can't stand to hear her sing or speak. But, my goodness she is bautiful...

She is a curvacious women, not a stick. this goes against all that ladies are taught today..

yet she is HOT..

Why??

Looking at my curves/hips. feeling very Marilyn today.. Hating it but, knowing I would never throw her out of bed.. confused...????????????

Never thought she had all that hot of a body, but definitely attractive.

bedroom eyes, bedroom voice and that damn beauty mark.  and yes they are all a fantasy!! Fantasy is good.

Dear MistressJessica:
In much the same way that we would look at Jenna Jameson today that was what Jayne Mansfield and Marilyn where in her day. She was blonde blue eyed and was shaped proportionately and caught the eye of the mainstream male constituency. She also was married to Joe Dimaggio for a minute who was also endeared by all. Finally because of her eurocentric looks she also did good box office for the Hollywood studios as well.  When you combine all of that she captured the hearts and minds of mainstream America at an age just prior to the visual medium of television.

I don't see Jenna in the same class in any way.  This is coming from someone who has seen a lot of porn.  Marilyn was just Marilyn.  Sometimes one can't explain the why of a woman being so attractive.

Who else could be so stupidly boring as to ask the shit you do but a brother. Hell, perhaps a twin. Who knew?

I liked everything about her except when she talked. I hate not knowing whether it's the real person or the persona. MM fed off her celebrity and that's fine, but it also killed her. Celebrate your curves or go on the 9-week program that helped 50cent lose 54 pounds. The only problem if you looked liked he did for the film, everyone will swear you were HIV. I am betting that most of your callers like your curves.

Blonde, buxom, blue-eyed, voluptuous, the  criteria ( to me ),that, quite possibly made her the sexiest lady that ever  lived. I remember at the age of 12 getting a massive woody watching her give Tom Ewell a piano "chopsticks" lesson ( as the straps on her tight fitting dress fell off ), in "The 7 Year Itch". Quite possibly the sexiest scene ever filmed.

But her appeal was not only limited to her considerable physical attributes; she was a gifted comedienne & had a very appealing sense of vunerability. Her tragic & untimely death at age 36 dealt the moviegoing public a major loss.

It is a rare combination.

The closest I can think of any other actress is perhaps Valerie Perrine.

we were told by the media to think that she was sexy, so we did what we were told. same thing with twiggy.

... but every teen-aged guy who fantasized about her in the 50's and early 60's could tell you there was something VERY special about her.

Can't put a finger on it, though I often fantasized about alot more than just her fingers :P

During that era women were born beautiful and unique. Now with the extras as far as surgeries ,all the things women do. Women can buy beauty now. Marilyn Monroe was a unique beauty and of course a timeless one. She is a legend for a reason.

Even after all that has been said and written about the lady, remember one thing.  Hugh Hefner was enthralled by her and thus she was the First Playboy centerfold ever.

As a boy in the 60's she was in my first wet dream and I still like the body shape.  While Twiggy may have done it for some, give me a woman with curves.  She was a much better comedian than most people gave her credit for and people with a sense of humor are very sexy!!

I wish she was a little thinner though.

No, really, I'm not...

If she was any thinner, she would have died at a very early age.

that's another fantasy entirely.  Perhaps I'm sharing too much, lol.

Men's taste do change.

I was reading some old Life magazines online (from 40's and 50's) the other day, it was quite interesting to see things from the past -- women look different too.

Like Tony Curtis said "It's like jello on springs"

I own several Marilyn Monroe calendars, with lots of old b/w photos of Marilyn, some glamour shots, some candids, some showing a happy Marilyn, some sad photos as well, and I have stared at these photos for hours wondering the same thing....what makes her so fucking hot???

I think it comes down to two things.

Marilyn had a very special ability to totally be herself in front of a camera.  Marilyn posed for a lot of pictures, but she was never "posed" if you get my drift.  Her insides matched her outsides, she photographed "genuine", what you saw was what you got on film.

Second, Marilyn knew she was turning you on and she delighted in it, and she celebrated her sexuality way before the expression of sexuality in a woman was considered "cool".

Truly a one of a kind lady.  Sad we had to lose her before her time, at age 36.  Had she been alive today, I think I would have been as hot for Marilyn at age 84 as I am for the younger Marilyn in her calendar photos.

RIP MM, sweetie, the world misses you.

I find that the same sort of celebrated-before-their-time female sexuality that made Marilyn so singular was also present in Mae West. Mae was even more forthright about being in on the joke and taking it right over the edge, but then the 20s & 30s were more open in their tolerance of on-screen sexuality before the Hayes Code.

Yes, they are a bit more than curvy by today's standards (Marilyn was reportedly a size 12 and imagine how she would be pilloried in today's tabloids) but if she were alive today and in her prime in the biz, I would imagine she would be a bit more in tune with the predominant body preferences. Just looking at her Playboy centerfold photo shows she could be lean, shapely and hot!

I love her, what she stood for, what she did for women during her time and the fact that she didn't fit the day's "Proper Woman" look or life style.  She was naurally beautiful, something you don't see much these days.
