Breasts is more of a poetic term.
According to Steve Martin, the dignified term is: hootersI do not recall seeing this question on the boards in a while so lets give this one a try.
Ladies, what do you prefer to have those two lovely mounds of flesh on your chest called?
Boobs, Breasts, or Tits?
Or, as I tend to do, go with having them called breasts in general conversation ("Wow, you have lovely breasts") , and tits/boobs during passion ("I love seeing your tits bounce as we.....") ?
The example above is what I follow...for I think breast is more classy, and tits is naughty, dirty word used during dirty talk and sex.

I had no idea there were so many names. The world around me has just gotten that much bigger.
My work is done here...
Mostly a phonetic choice. The "sts" in "Breasts" can add a comedic clunkiness. The 't' sound doesn't require the same efforts as 'b', which can make some difference when things are getting ravenous. But it's not a strong preference.

I don't know why but the word appeals to me.

It doesn't matter to me what you call them as long as its respectful (not counting dirty talk ![]()
"Boobs" is a term generally used by the gals.
"Tits" is a term generally used by the guys.
"Breasts" is a clinical term.
Also, when commenting on surgical enhancement, "boob" is generally used in a good way. Such as: "I really love your new boob job." "Tits" is generally used in a bad way: "She has fake tits."
I'm speaking generally, of course.
I hadn't thought of that.
I call them the twins in casual conversation, breasts in polite company, and I can't remember calling them anything at all during coitus. I hear men refer to them as tits mostly when we are dirty-talking, but sometimes breasts when he's being sensual. No term bothers me, really.
I was a stripper for many years, and I first danced in FL. For some reason, we were referred to as "titty dancers". I always, always hated that term. So I guess the term "titties" bothers me. It sounds so juvenile.
that exact phrase! I think I'd go if I could be sure the person I went with wouldn't refer to the ladies as titty dancers. If they did, I'd be embarrassed and have to distance myself

After her boob job, she was asked what she called her boobs. She said, "I call this one Cash and the other one Flow".
Very memorable after all these years. And yes, I'm a fake boob lover.

Not very elegant but I have heard that from some of my non-elegant friends
Ahh, brings back memories of Terri Carr and "Young Frankenstein"
