What app do most people use for payment. Wanting to stay discreet. Rather family or friends not find out about the payment. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I had a client recently tell me he has never paid a professional & if you don’t set your account on private you’re showing everything. I saw 👀 he sent $ to a SW I follow on X. It’s super simple to be discreet. Live & learn.

I utilize cashapp & Venmo the most, but always set your account on private. Don’t post in the comments deposit for our rendezvous. You can send as a gift, so the account does not get terminated. Be mindful.

Sorry to be ignorant on apps. So if I sent you a payment on venmo, how would it show up in my payment history? If family used my phone later to pay something would they be suspicious.

It sounds like you are referring to Venmo when it comes to see who else he paid - Cashapp doesn’t give you the option to put your account on private.

When using Cashapp it all depends on how she has the account setup - if she’s using her work name or a discreet billing name and whether or not she has her work email/phone connected - you may want to check on that first. There is an option to pay in cash at a local retailer (CVS/Walgreens) and have the funds loaded to her account directly if she has her account setup for it. You could easily just pay the deposit on Cashapp and the rest in cash when you met. The next  best way to use Cashapp would be by loading the funds into the Cashapp account first (using your credit/|debit card) and then sending her the funds - make sure to leave the notes blank…the transaction on your bank statement would show your name and not anything related to hers.

I was planning to use venmo and purchase a gift card to load on it so I don't have to use my banking info. But as I understand the transaction will always be in my history on venmo but not on the bank statement. If my wife uses my venmo to pay something even years later, it will still show in the history. I just don't want someone getting suspicious if they see it.

If you want to be discreet never send money via anything traceable.  Cash only.  If that means missing out on a lady.  There are hundreds others.  Ten years doing this and I've never had to place a deposit down and I always pay cash.  Never ever leave any trace.  You have no idea what may come in the future.  And digital tracing of funds moving is there forever.

Cash isn’t the only non-traceable currency. Gift cards can work if you pay cash for them. Not familiar with bitcoin, but that could possibly be another option.

It’s true that there are plenty of providers who don’t require deposits, the fact of the matter is that the higher end of the industry is moving towards the deposit based scheduling format. Look at the TER Top Ten provider lists, both nationally and locally. The reality is that if you want to see one of those providers, deposits are required.

Bitcoin is traceable due to the block chain that journals every transaction. Whether it's anonymous or not is an issue for which I'm not qualified to answer, but I believe there's exposure if/when cryptocurrency is converted into fiat currency.

There was a news story a few years back about just how much information Venmo shares which might be enough to cause you problems even if your wife never uses you venmo account. Read the discussion in the A Cautionary Tale to see how little bits of information can come back and bite if you've got something to hide from someone else.

Just pay cash or if you're going to make deposits (which I would think is the only reason you would need to use a payment app) go buy some gift cards with cash and tell the lady the activation code and account number for the card -- she can then go spend it somewhere.

This goes for the provider end as well. I *do* have a venmo account, mostly to pay my pet sitter. I have accepted payments a few times from guys via venmo, but yeah, on average I see 2 or 3 guys a day so if I am getting 2 or 3 venmo payments a day transferred to my account that is going to look suspect as hell. Cash. Cash. Cash. I don't need my venmo shut down or my freaking checking account froze. Cash is king, and I have a stack of white envelopes to prove it!!!

So just to let everyone know, I told her I was not comfortable with venmo or other apps. She agreed to gift cards so that is what I am going to do. She is very reputable, so I am not worried about giving a deposit. Thanks for all the responses.

That is quite true. You can be somewhat safe if you never convert the bitcoin to dollars but that conversion is recorded and can be reported to law authorities. But you would be safe from exposing your real life information to whoever you sent the money to or received the money from. But for making these types of payments I don't really see the overhead to own bitcoin as worth it.

I love good ole snail mail, CIM - Cash in Mail (lol 😜) to my business address. Usually the client will tuck the deposit into a book, a vinyl record, or another small gift. I

If you have to pay a deposit a gift card is the only way to keep it private as far as I know. Any other foolproof ways I would be interested in hearing ?

CASH, Cold hard CASH

Maybe new bills from a bank and a gift

The gift can be something simple and is always nice
