A few recent threads have gotten me thinking about this over the past few weeks, and the "making love" thread earlier today is what caused me to ramble out a discourse in defense of half hour (or even shorter) visits with non-GFE providers.
Two broader points: First, I love great wine, and I have some pretty amazing bottles in my cellar. Drinking a fine wine is an exquisite experience. But I have to be in the mood for it. I wouldn't want to drink a classified growth Bordeaux or a sublime Burgundy every day. I don't always have the energy and attention that a quality bottle deserves. Sometimes, I just want a decent table wine to go with a quickly prepared dinner. Sometimes, I just want to get drunk. Similarly, I don't need every one of my experiences with a provider to be a long, drawn out session. Sometimes, I just want to have a quick shag on the way home from the office. Secondly, the hobbyists here all hobby for different reasons, and those reasons will dictate what kind of experience they're looking for with providers. As much as I enjoy the intimate experience of a multi-hour session with a GFE provider, I don't always need that. As I said before, sometimes, I just want to have a quick shag on the way home from the office. I've noticed that there is a perceived hierarchy among providers and the hobbyists who see them. Frankly, I don't think it's entirely fair. There are plenty of providers who have decent business sense but never learned how to properly market themselves or how to screen appropriately. It's not that they're stupid, necessarily, it's just that no one pointed them to the right websites, and they just never figured it out. So, they put their ads on BP, next to the bait-and-switch ads and the police stings, and they hope for the best. Some of them don't know how to blur their faces out of a picture, so they use pictures of women who look similar to them for the sake of security. Again, no one taught them any better. There are no billboards advertising provider lessons when you drive down the freeway. As far as hobbyists are concerned, the 'great divide' is providers who have reputations (usually through reviews) and those who are complete unknowns. I've given a few unknowns a try, but only because I was introduced to them by providers (a lot of them travel around together and share rooms). I will not "take one for the team" with a complete unknown by calling a number on an ad out of the blue. Nor would I ever hire a streetwalker. I do a lot of traveling for business, and I like to hobby when I visit other cities. Sometimes, I'll choose to spend an hour or two with a GFE provider. But sometimes, I just want a quick shag while I'm on the road. To return to the wine analogy, just because you can afford to drink 1982 Bordeaux every night, that doesn't mean you want to. Sometimes you know that you'd be wasting your money, and you reach for that $12 Chianti... or even the occasional Two Buck Chuck from Trader Joe's. As long as you stay away from the Night Train.Sometimes I just want a quickie like you after a workout. I don't have time for a whole hour or 2 hour appointment. Unless the provider is very attractive I won't book an hour or more time for appointment. I tried the half hours for a few months and got bored with it. I am back to hour and multi hour appointments.
I agree. Like you, I too get bored with the same old shit. There are days I thank the stars above that I have granfathered in so many BJ only, clients lol. I don't charge a 2 hour min. because I want to "get to know someone" lol. If that were the case, I would just give them the extra hour for free. I do it because I want the damn money, and don't want to rush through what I consider to be the minimum for a true GFE experience, BUT with all that said....sometimes, I like a guy to come in, drop his pants, and put his c(ck in my mouth before I can start yapping. My guess is, some guys like that too ha ha.
Here is the thing though...once you start advertising for those types of dates, you won't ever get your premium rate again, but I can bet that many girls will offer that to regular clients. I don't negotiate GFE services for less money, but I WILL negotiate less service for less money. Let's face it...my mouth is my selling point anyway, so if a guy just wants a bj and I think he's hot, I would probably do it lmao.

And no matter how amazing a mouth is, sometimes a guy just likes to put his cock into a different one. Or a bunch of different ones.
As for your grandfathered clients, all of the top Bordeaux properties have a 'second' wine that they sell at a lower price. The only difference is that you only sell your 'second' to existing customers, whereas Chateaux Palmer will sell "Alter Ego" to anyone.
Who goes for cheap and can't find a 6 or better! Must be good at research huh?
Can't put your cock into just anything (although you say you could). Very sad for someone who tries to be greater than what he is!
Cheap ass. Don't cum here talking of expensive wine when you can't even pick at least decent gals!
How so?
See my response to London.
I'm not very enamored with you at this moment...and that may have tainted my response, I'm sure.
Feel free to email me about it. I have updated my email on date check....
Hm.
Why? Because, he expressed an opinion for getting burnt out of all the faux bs that accompanies many GFE type dates? He put no one down, did not say YOU MUST DO THIS, but simply expressed an opinion that he likes variety. I doubt his post will tarnish the GFE providers ability to get business lol.
I love fine food and can afford to eat out at least 3 times a week if I want to, BUT that does not mean that I am actually in the MOOD for expensive food every damn day. There are times when a salad from Ruby Tuesdays is EXACTLY what I am craving. Money simply has nothing to do with it. Same goes with people who don't really "prefer" fast food, but during the busy lunch hour, it might be their only way for a quick meal, to fill them up.

You can have a quick, GFE date. Actually, on the bard that is popular in my town (which Derrbl likes to peruse), you can find lots of $ half hour quickies from GFE providers.
I'm not sure why it's long expensive multi hour or short cheap quicky. Girlfriends have short, dirty quickies with their boyfriends all the time.

Granted, but saying a half hour is a GFE, is an oxymoron. It's far from it. Even an hour is a bit of a contradiction. Regardless of what you do, the time is rushed unless you go over. That is why so many guys feel it is in fact a quickie vs. a gfe. Sorry, but it takes me 20 min. to even get off from daty, so saying I could do that in a half hour plus get HIM off, is impossible. Most quickies are not defined as gfe, and that's his point. It is one or the other.
Exactly how much talking or foreplay can you possibly do in a half hour? Half hours are strictly about sex, and that's far from GFE...more like PSE.
Just because "some girlfriends do this" does not make it the standard of GFE in the hobby. I go bbfs with boyfriends, and not many would be naive enough to say that's part of gfe in the hobby, because "Girlfriends do it all the time." GFE is not a list of acronyms...it's the pace of the date, vs. how many positions you do, and how many pops you get.

I'm not sure that really qualifies here...much different GFE than a real BF experience to have a quickie...you know the BF so 30 minutes, hell 15 minutes qualifies..for someone you haven't ever met...to squeeze a GFE experience in 30 minutes ain't gonna happen.
I'm not trying to be 'greater than I am'. I just don't spend more money than I need to to get what I want.
It would be more fair to call me a cheapskate than to accuse me of being broke.
shit the guy has plenty for7s and 8s and a few 9s leave him alone. Or at least post with your ter name so we can see what you go after. Or maybe its the TS crowd and you do not want us to know??
So there is hope of a hung guy seeing you for such a service?
Or do you have any size queen friends you do doubles with?
And thank you for sharing. I always enjoy a well written monologue after something I will presume I posted spruces up a few juices in the system to feel the need to share. Agreed on all fronts that yes, something quick, fun, and an instant pleaser or the 'shag' as you put it LOL is just as good as the slow, long enchanted wine and dine dinner date with dessert afterwards...while I'm speaking of 'that' dessert, creme brulee is still my fav...yummy lol.
But now as far as the newbie providers you speak of, I feel a venting coming so bear with me...as with anything to be successful in something you don't know...it takes educating yourself and understanding that education to get to where you want to be in this industry...there is not one 'go to person' or a 'class' you can take at the local community college. There are no 'mentors' like you're learning from the masters here. If you have a decent head on your shoulders, can set a vision and stick to that vision and essentially 'market' and 'brand' yourself in a way that is true to who you really are no matter 'who' or 'what' people tell you from all directions, then you are golden. On top of that, if you can art direct a photo shoot of yourself or have one done vs what someone 'thinks' they should shoot of you to portray that vision, again....golden. If you can design your own website or have one created for you to carry thru with that vision...again golden. I think you get the jist here. Advertise in all the right places, which is only a few, but key places which you learn by asking the right questions, trying a few of them out and seeing what works for what your brand is...again, yes, golden. But, let me tellya... it takes work and hard work. Noone is going to hold your hand and show you the way, not in this industry.
It takes dedication and a ridiculous amount of work that continuously needs to stay 'fresh', you would not even believe to be successful or what you believe to be 'successful' which is different for all of us by definition. If you don't have the drive, you will go nowhere. If you are lazy, you will go nowhere. If you can't think remotely 'outside the box' you will go nowhere. I think that most women don't take it that far because they lack those core fundamentals as goes hands down with anything in becoming successful in any business. And in my opinion, will yes, only be stuck to be recycled thru BP unfortunately.
I think there is a difference between being intelligent and being sophisticated. Some people are one or the other. Some are both. Unfortunately, some are neither.
It takes sophistication to market yourself. Not all providers have that level of sophistication. In the same vein, it's really not that difficult to make a lot of money in this world. But it requires sophistication to save your money and invest it instead of just spending it on anything you see. And that, my dear, is why I do not spend a lot of money on a full GFE experience every time I want to see a provider.
And those quickies with Backpage girls allow you to really appreciate the occasional GFE experience with a more sophisticated provider. Just like drinking ordinary Pinot Noir will really allow you to appreciate the sublime subtlety of the occasional bottle of Vosne-Romanée.

Good of you to say.
OTOH, I think you can go too far with marketing in this biz, just like any other business. You can wrap up what you offer with a fancy website with lots of animation and lengthy descriptions about how you are the ideal companion for an erotic journey or whatever, but you're still selling sex. Honestly, I talk to all kinds of interesting people all the time. Last night, I was at a banquet and sat next to a forensic toxocologist. I enjoyed talking to him, but I didn't want to bone him. Two weeks ago, I sat next to a retired NSA analyst at another dinner. Same deal.
When I was a kid, there was this lunch counter type place a block away from my house. The guy who ran it was a blowhard. He had a pretty good crowd for breakfast and lunch, though, and he was somehow under the impression that people ate there because they liked to hear him tell stories. So he ramped up his banter, and people stopped going there. They weren't there to listen to him yammer. They liked his food. They just didn't like it enough to listen to his incessant horseshit.
I don't really need to pay top-dollar to a provider who fancies herself a perfect conversationalist and charges a premium on that account. Sure, it's more enjoyable if a provider can speak in complete sentences and make friendly conversation.
All of that said, I don't take issue with providers who market themselves as high-priced erotic companions. I wish them all the success in the world. I know that there is a market for that kind of service, but that market isn't me. I don't judge you. I would appreciate it if you don't judge me for having $100 quickies with BP girls if that's what I feel like doing. And please don't judge the BP girls, either. Really, is this the kind of place to judge people? We're all just in different layers of the same moral quagmire. There is no real hierarchy in the world of people who pay for sex or people who get paid to have sex. Any pecking order is in your head.
Thank you...couldn't have said it better! (Kisses)
wine, shots, mixed drinks, and beer all sound good at different times.
A bj, quick shag, extended GFE session, and a marathon PSE session all sound good at different times also.
Variety spices up life.
can't imagine too many girls in the biz are going to keep up with your fine wine convo, best to throw in a bit of justin bieber too xxx
Maybe, but I don't know anything about Justin Bieber, so it would be difficult for me to do that.
Cars aren't a good example because they are durable goods that you own for years. The whole point of a hobbyist-provider transaction is that it is ephemeral--a consumer service. Maybe restaurants would be a good analogy, but I don't think I'd want to experience the provider equivalent of The Fat Duck or El Bulli.
