...that when I started sneakiing looks at my older brother's Playboys, all the Playmates had tan lines from (what was then) VERY erotic bikinis - the kind you would never really see a woman wearing in public.  This was and remains a HUGE turn on.  Then untanned skin emphasizes that I'm seeing things not normally for view!

On the same note, in those days (up through the late '60s I guess) no pubic hair was ever seen in Playboy.  It it wasn't actually shaved off, it was airbushed out to give the shaved impression.  Again, a very formative and life-lasting impression of what was erotic.

Also, if you go back and look, the girls were curvier than they are today.   I feel I am blessed in that I grew up appreciating slightly heavier women so that today I can enjoy a wider range of the female form.   Not to say the 'hard body' isn't appreciated, I just recalled seeing 'Dr. No' in the theater on its first run.  When Ursula Andress walked out of the water in that white bikini, there was an audible GASP from the men in the audience!!
