I don't believe love is an emotion at all, let alone something that exists in reality.

*Subsequently- all emotion is a farce as well.

Love, is a fetish, love is a religion, love is...

infatuation happens because of biochemistry really - and as powerful as it can be, it is transient, even in situations that go on to be long term relationships -

Love is something that people do because they choose to and is more long term.  It has an emotional component but is more a chosen set of behaviors...   Love may or may not begin with infatuation but has more to do with choosing to build and maintain a relationship....

If Lord Byron was right, and if Liebniz's calculus applies.

I don't believe emotion is inherently real or occurs naturally. Especially with love, it is a behavior that has to be learned.

I believe the feeling of love, is actually the misinterpreted feeling of security.

Example 1. Insecure people tend to have more/stay in romantic relationships longer. Why? relationships provide a sense of security.

Example 2. Patriotism(the love of country), America can not love you back, and really one enjoys the security a strong nation provides. You can apply this theory to, the love a child shows for it's parent.

The child has not been taught the concept of love, yet there is a deep admiration. Why the child feels secure when in the company of the parent.

Love is imaginary, and can not exist outside of one's consciousness.

something you share so you have to possess inside you in order to share.  If you don't have it, then you can't feel it and can't share it.

I just believe love is some other natural feeling, masquerading around as love. We as a species want to label this feeling of content as love.

What happens when we fall out of love? We are no longer content in our existence, until that love is retured or replaced.

The idiomatic construct of the notion that love is some state which we are in or out causes a lot of confusion. When two people love the couple they make...it's a different perspective

the human biology is programmed to experience emotion on a purely biochemical basis -  as are many other mammals.  It's an evolutionary adaption -

most of the learned emotional responses are actually aberrational....
