I rarely bring anything to the date in fear of leaving it behind.

Once a lady left her cell phone, and she returned to my hotel to find it but couldn't.
It rang in the middle of the night. LOL. I was able to get it to her the next day by contacting her e-mail.

Have you ever left anything behind? Did you retrieve it/keep it?

Your thoughts if any

Just wondering:  Why didn't you call her cell phone number when she was looking for it?

I do that all the time to find misplaced cell phones

An umbrella
A Cockring
A Wallet
Reading glasses
Grapes
1984 by George Orwell (My favorite book in the world)
A briefcase.....

and another came in without his balls, he left those somewhere else. hahahahahahah

She told me as she was gathering her things that she always leaves something behind, unintentionally. We both looked around the room, a couple of times, and when she was satisfied that she hadn't left anything behind, she left.

Later, I discovered intertwined in the sheets, her vibrator. I texted her, she said no problem, keep it she had many more. I traveled to see her and didn't care to see the TSA agent's reaction to my bag going through security with a vibrator inside, so I tossed it in the trash. I can only imagine housekeeping's reaction when they emptied that trash can.

Good memory though.

And contact you and we can figure out a way for me to get it back to you.

And a necklace is likely valuable enough to go to those lengths. I suspect that a vibrator, not so much.

How's things Courtney? Good to see you posting.

I happened to be wearing a suit and tie when I saw a provider. I forgot the tie. It was a nice tie. This was in another city six hours away.

I emailed her to ask if she could send it back to me. She said she would, but after two weeks it didn't look like it would happen.

I had the address for her apartment incall, so I looked up some UPS Stores and Mailboxes Etc retail stores nearby. I gave her the addresses and said I would pre-pay for the boxes and shipping. She just had to drop off the tie. Two weeks went by and she didn't go to either store.

I sent her a pre-paid, pre-addressed box. All she had to do was fold the tie and put it in the box. She didn't fold it, just  put it in the box and mailed it.

I don't think I'm high on her priority list. ;

I know how you must have felt. There are some ties that I wish I'd bought two of when I had the chance.

glasses, hats,scarfs
if it something like underwear or a sock , i will through it out

The lady was in NYC touring and I was visiting NYC and heading back to FL the next morning.   It was about 10 pm and I was heading to catch the train when I looked down to see if I was on time t catch the train and, darn it, the wrist was bare, I got that sinking feeling in the stomach.   I ran back to the hotel, knocked on the door and there it was.    I cannot imagine what the logistics would have been like to return it to me nor how I would have explained the missing watch which just happens to be my favorite because it was a present from my wife.

I've had a cell phone for a time piece, no need for a clunky watch, and a cell phone is much closer to atomic time than a mechanical watch.

But, I suspect that I'm just not a classy kind of guy. A watch for me is completely functional. For some folks they are an adornment or a status piece. I would never, under any circumstances buy or wear a Rolex, 20K for something that looks like a Timex, why bother?

I was just thinking last night while watching TV and a commercial for Jared ( he went to Jared) came on, that now that I'm divorced I'll never have to atep foot in a Jewlery store again, wooohooo. This divorce thing keeps getting better and better.

No way I was about to go to the front desk and ask for a 2 foot long plug-in vibrator lmfao. But nowadays I might lol.

And apparently in the hour or so I was gone from the room someone had taken the liberty to gift themselves a hitachi.

Cest la vie. Share the love ;-)

If it was a real one it's almost understandable

I try to look around as I walk them out to make sure they have everything. I usually find it and get it back in their hands before they leave. Lol I do have a few jackets and various other items that have been left.

I have all kinds of stuff and I put it in a drawer and return it the next time I see them. Which reminds me ... When are you coming back for those black stockings? ;)

After forgetting my watch several times I now put it inside my shoe when I'm getting undressed.  That solved the problem.

I always leave everything BUT the amount agreed upon, and the car key to keep things simple. (leaving cell phone after she told me which room, wallet, watch, hat, tie, scarf, jacket... pretty much the ONLY things I bring with me are pants, socks, shoes, shirt, sunglasses if appropriate, my gift, and anything else she requested. (lunch, drinks, water,... etc. to be left behind.

Leaving something behind, then having to go back and bother the person (who is probably in the shower by the time you turn around). IMO, it feels awkward.
