Hookers & Mongers in my civie job outlook contacts! Please help!

How in the world did this happen and how do I make it so all the hookers and mongers I've emailed from my hooker email don't show up as contacts in my regular job outlook?

I have an iPhone which I use for work, hooking and personal email, so I'm thinking that's how this happened, but I don't know how to undo it!.

I was at work in my civie job today and went to send an email to a colleague, scrolled through my contacts to find him and I see all the providers, agencies and my clients in my outlook contacts. Now, my boss doesn't go checking my email because he trusts me, but he could if he wanted to because he has my outlook password.

If you are an expert at iPhones or outlook or both and would be willing to help me, I would appreciate it so much.

Then figure out the rest.

Chnage back when it is corrected, and the boss will never know.

they can and will check your work e-mails. If so hopefully your boss is a monger and hits you up on some good girls to see lol.

In my life I am "the boss" and I can view every email/contact/document of every employee regardless of what they do with their personal passwords.

...I recommend using separate e-mail for work civie job and hooker work.

I don't like things that automatically make connections. I don't like Outlook.

When you undo this I say separate your civie and hooker phone/e-mail.

All info is on a mail server and can be looked at anytime by an IT guy...

I have never plugged up my phone to the computer at work. I don't do the iCloud thing, so I'm not sure how this happened.

Oh, I definitely use different email. Work gave me one, and when I log into outlook from the work computer all my hooker and monger contacts are there in my contact list. I use a different email for playing and never check that email from the work computer.

I think the problem is with my iPhone adding all new contacts to my work contacts I think. I have a nerd friend at work and he said that might be happening. But, he's not a close enough friend to look in my phone though.

I have the same issue.  I keep all of my personal and hobby addresses on iCloud, but Outlook e-mail contacts are separate.  I think your problem is that you DIDNT use iCloud.  All of your contacts are only on your phone.  When you added your Company's exchange server to your phone, you likely have contacts turned on.  It synced your contacts wirelessly with your office exchange server.

Go to Settings, then Mail, Contacts, Calendars.  Select your Exchange account, and turn off Contacts.  That should do it.  Zig that doesn't help you, e-mail me at my TER handle on gmail, and I can walk you thru it.

THANK YOU!

I won't be able to tell until I'm at work tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes.

I spent 5 years doing computer and cell phone work for a big company.

Ok, your office probably uses MS Outlook with a Microsoft Exchange Server. That means that if you have you probably have your office email, calendar, and contacts syncing to and from your phone, thus you have identical contacts on your iphone and in your office Outlook, and if you send a business email from your iPhone it also appears in the Sent Items folder in your office Outlook.

You have a couple choices on an iphone:

1) You can go into Settings / Mail, Contacts Calendars /
- you can go into your work email account and turn off Contacts. NOTE this will remove all of your work Contacts from your iPhone AND stop your other contacts from syncing up to your office.
- IF YOU DO THIS, the last step is to go into your work Contacts in Outlook, and delete all of the contacts you don't want them seeing. NOTE - To permanently delete a message or contact and bypass the Deleted Items folder in Outlook, you must
hold down the Shift key while pressing Delete, and click YES if prompted.

What I would do next:

a - Turn on iCloud on your iphone for Contacts.
b - Put all of your private contacts in your iCloud Contacts.
c - Go into Outlook at work and delete all of your private contacts you don't want seen.
d - Delete them permanantly following the instructions I gave you above.

PM me if you have questions.

You have enabled automatically adding contact information to your outlook. Go outlook settings and disable it. You will have to to delete one by one to get rid off what you already have. By the way automatically adding contact information to the address book is the default setting. Google mail does the same thing.

Sharing password with another is the dumbest idea on the planet. Trust has nothing to do with it. It is like openning mail send to someone else. No one should expect or even ask for another's password.

especially if you're doing anything remotely looked down upon.

The phone you use for personal should not even have contacts or any iCloud account, or any syncing accounts matching. Even if you sign into icloud, outlook, or anything once on one or the other, your phone will sync the info.

A lot of info consolidation apps around here.

Another thing, sync your personal phone to a personal computer, not work or anything related to work. And vice versa.

Sounds like over kill, but really the two should be separate in any way you can separate them because of these apps. In an attempt to make life easier, it makes it harder for those doing shady things lol.

I use Chrome, and open an Incognito window and goto the email website and log on. leaves no traces on your phone and doesn't inter-mingle contacts.

In the contacts > groups >... if you have your work selected then those contacts will show up. As to if they can see YOUR contacts, well that depends - but probably not :)
They guys are right - go get a burner if your worried about getting caught.

Thank you so much! You're a lifesaver.

And, thank you to everyone else for the advice. I've been considering getting the new iPhone for personal/work and then using this one for play, so I think I'll do that sooner than later. I've been absentminded and careless a couple times, accidentally emailing mongers from my first name last name email. Not a good thing! So, thank you!
