My experience is the opposite. My problem, there are way too many gorgeous providers and I cannot possibly see them all even though I love to because of time and money.

i also disagree w/the op. i have found thru out the years that the provider population fits my own personal bell curve of every other talent or quality-based industry: 5% are top notch, 5% are totally bogus, and 90% are pretty average. of course, these labels are subjective, so the trick is to know what you want, do your homework and research, and not take a stab in the dark and hope you get a good time.
it's been more than a year since i felt i got burned (not in terms of $$$ but in terms of value) because i know what i like, i ask folks (both providers and hobbyists) about people i am interested in, i read a lady's reviews and other reveiws by the guys who reviewed them, and don't go in half-cocked or blind.
there's new talent coming up all the time. be diligent and do your own share of the work, you'll be amply rewarded.
Look in the mirror you'll find the answer and the reason for your problems , also start talking and you'll know for sure !

The rest of your post I agree with, I've seen hundreds on "brown envelopes" like the OP who complain that the $50 BP women that they see are only "average"

are still out there maybe you should increase your price range. If the average girls are at one price I'm sure the top notch girls are higher.
But I don’t think the problem lies with the pool of providers. Disappointment and even boredom can be a natural consequence of time and routine regardless of the pursuit. If you order the same dish at the same restaurant every day, your enthusiasm for the meal will start to wane. The quality of the food didn’t change, you just lost interest.

I don't know where you are looking for providers, but IMHO, you are not being very thorough in your search. Either that, or there is not a tremendous amount of 'hot' providers in your area. I have no problem finding hot ladies in all price ranges, my favorite lists on here, other sites, and my own list of possibles are very large. It's highly unlikely that I will get to see even a majority of them, mainly because the lists keep growing. Like someone else said, my problem is not enough time (and money) to see them all.
I do agree with your last statement however, I think that's a big reason why many of us do this. Another is guys that got off at home for whatever reason by their SO, and they still want sex, even if the SO does not.
Another comment I agree with is that dating is often going to be more expensive and time-consuming than hobbying. At least with a provider you know what is going to happen in the hour you spend with her, whereas, you could spend some serious bucks before anything happens if it ever does.....

First of all back in the bad old days before TER P4P was a crapshoot. You could rarely be certain who would show up or be on the other side of the door. And ripoffs were not uncommon. I would say the quality of dates back then was ok at best. Even early escort malls were often times a rogues gallery--anyone remember LA Exotics?
At the beginning of this century I saw a noticeable uptick in quality and consistency. I give credit for much of that to review sites that gave clients a place to compare notes. And in the last several years (for reasons best left for another day) I noticed a lot more competition and that in turn drove up quality. In the last couple of years I've seen ladies in person and others advertising who I would call truly gorgeous. And a lot more that I would say are very pretty and very sexy. As for the overall quality and variety of service compared to yesteryear--like night and day.
IMHO the game has been raised tremendously.
